I work as an RV technician on the road. Every week, I do two or three roof resealing jobs. I'd always used Henry's, dicor, or hengs, but I figured I'd give this a shot because I go through so much that 5 gallons was convenient. It had poor coverage in my opinion and was more sticky than the others for a longer time. This photo was taken about 2 hours before sunset while I was working on a roof. The paint was dissipated by the moisture from the night air, which settled on the roof. This roof job had to be redone. Who wants to lug 5 gallons of paint up a roof or transfer paint to a smaller bucket, creating even more mess? Now, for all roof jobs, I use Henrys 887. I only need one coat.
Except for some Dicor around the vents and antenna, it hasn't had much work done to it. I had a small leak around the antenna during a heavy downpour, so I decided to take action. I'd heard about this stuff before, but was hesitant because there are so many options. I bought Eternanond tape and wrapped it around all seams and edges after cleaning the roof with Simple Green HD. Then I applied two coats of this liquid rubber coating the next day. WOW is all I have to say. Every nook and cranny, as well as the entire roof, is now completely covered in new rubber. It's beautiful on the outside and even better on the inside! I'm hoping it lasts as long as it appears to.
So far, it has performed as expected; I applied two coats on a mostly overcast day with a temperature of around 65°. It dried quickly, and everything appeared to be in order until the temperature dropped below 45° for two nights in a row, and there was precipitation, causing a few spots to fail to adhere properly. I'll need to apply a third coat to get complete coverage, but the parts that did stick look fantastic. br>br>When applying, try to stick to the directions as much as possible, especially when it comes to the weather. br>br>Apart from that, it was a breeze to apply, using a standard paint roller and a brush for the edges. When I apply my follow-up coats, I'll update this review.
Take a look at the tag. I used it to stop the leaks in the caravan I recently purchased. Because the product did not cure sufficiently before the due date, it appeared to rain white the next day, running down both sides of the camper and drying. Now do twice as much work to get it off. The company in the United States claimed that I applied it too thickly. Nope. It was a nice, thin coat with a nice even thickness. I used flexseal underneath, which is still visible. I'd like to upload photos, but the button to upload photos isn't working.
I have an older model travel trailer from 2003 that has been well maintained except for the roof. During the summer, even with the air conditioning turned on, it seemed like the original roofing needed a fresh rubber coating. Wow, what a difference now that I've installed this on my roof! I don't run my air conditioning as often because the temperature inside seems to be much much better. I feel like it's given my trailer a better cosmetic upgrade as well as maintaining a good temperature inside; perhaps it's just me, but it was the easiest thing to put on.
The product has a number of flaws:br>- No cure has ever been found. It's been two weeks since the last coat was applied, and you can't stand on the roof for more than a few minutes without your shoes becoming stuck to the roof. No lie!
- I applied six layers of paint as thick as I could. Kneeling on the roof, where your shoe tips are, leaves a smear on the roof's material, as if it's about to tear. After application, you must exercise extreme caution; only socks should be worn when walking on the roof.
- I used the pre-requisitions that were given to me. I used a conditioner and followed the directions to the letter. I'm not happy with the outcome.
- It takes a long time to prep, apply a coat, wait for it to dry, and then apply another coat, all while avoiding rain within 24 hours of application. It took me a week to prep, apply, and remove all of the tape. br>br>Do not purchase this product; you will be disappointed.
Did not . It was well rolled on and well covered. I didn't try to spray it because it was too thick unless thinned. It could have been sprayed, but a very expensive sprayer would have been required to spray that thick of material, according to him. The cracks were well filled in.
Due to a variety of factors, we have not yet had the opportunity to apply the sealant to our camper. However, if you want to buy this product for $238, there is a catch. for a total of 5 gallons It refers to the supply package that is usually purchased with the sealant at a much higher cost, and which includes the primer that is used with it. We didn't order the entire package because we didn't require everything. However, we wanted to order the recommended primer but couldn't find it for sale separately. I contacted a customer service representative for help, but she, too, was unable to locate it despite her best efforts. I'll have to look for it somewhere else now.
