Questions & Answers

With a mop and a bucket of water, how do you clean the roof? Should the product be placed in a bucket or on top of the roof? Is it true that you don't have to use a hose to clean the roof?

I used a scrub brush attached to a broom handle to clean the roof of my RV. br> I'd pour the cleaner on the roof (I'm not sure if I had to mix it with water or not, but I followed the directions on the container) and scrub it back and forth a few times to loosen the dirt, while keeping a hose up on my roof at the same time so I could do a section at a time and hose it off before it dried. Hose down the sides as well to avoid drips or staining from the dirty roof residue.

Is it possible to use this product on any type of rubber roof? Is it safe to use epdm?

Douglas, these do not contain EPDE. TPO roofs should not be used. TPO roofs are exempt from the Protectant Part 2 requirement. For TPO roofs, only Part 1 is required. br>Give us a call at (800) 877-4747. 334- Alternatively, you can contact us by email at [email protected]. If there is anything else we can do, please let us know. Thank you very much.

Is it possible to use both or just the rubber roof on my travel trailer?

The rubber is all there is.

What is the scope of coverage for this product?

My pull trailer has a capacity of eight people. On the box, it measures 5 feet wide by 28 feet long. I didn't waste any product and used about half of each jug; the finish coat, I believe, requires two coats, which I did.

It cleans and protects, but it's also extremely hazardous! Over the years, I've tried a variety of different roof cleaners and protectants
3/5

Because of the low price and well-known brand, I decided to try this product. The cleaner is comparable to other brands, and I have no complaints about it; however, the protector has a serious flaw. br> After cleaning as directed, I applied the protector as directed. It looked fantastic and has remained relatively spotless since the application. Unfortunately, the final product is so slippery that walking on it is risky. I tried two different pairs of tennis shoes and one pair of deck shoes, all with the same results. It's been 90 days since the application, and it's still as slippery as it was the day after. As a result, I have to put the cleaning features aside in favor of the safety aspect, giving this product one star.

It's all finished now
4/5

When you have to get down on your hands and knees to do something like this because no mop can clean around three fans, two air conditioners, and two skylights. It's not enjoyable at all. It's also difficult to give a rating to something that washes and then protects unless it completely fails or eats through your roof. We did, in fact, put it on. It is, in fact, spotless. Is it going to take months or even years to figure out if a protectant is effective? So, because of the unknown, I'll give it a four-star rating. br>When it comes to unknowns, there are a lot of them. The instructions do not specify the best temperature for doing this or how long it should be left to dry before rain. I emailed them, and they said to do it at 70 degrees, and to let the protectant dry for at least 24 hours before using it.

I'll make another purchase
4/5

It turned out to be more effective than I had anticipated. I assumed this was yet another high-priced RV item, similar to a high-priced bar of soap. I was wrong, as it turned out. br>br>Started scrubbing after mixing it with water as directed on the package. At first, I didn't notice anything, but then the bubbles turned black and the roof turned white, and when I was finished, all the dirt was gone except for a really dark moldy substance that seems to grow wherever the wood appears to be under the roof. br>br>A few hours later, I went back up to finish the protectant (step 2). I noticed that the dark mold spots had vanished completely. I'm not saying they've left, but it certainly appears to be the case. I applied a single layer of protectant. I still have enough javelin left over for a second coat, which I'll apply tomorrow. There is sufficient material to complete the task. The length of my fifth wheel is 41 ft.

My roof has become so filthy as a result of the step 2 protectant that I am unable to clean it
3/5

Step 1 did a good job cleaning the roof when I used it for the first time last fall. br> br>Step 2 was simple to apply and left the roof slick. This spring, I went to inspect the roof, which was filthy and covered in black rings. Step two's protectant has accumulated so much dirt that I'm unable to clean it. This is something I will never do again. In the spring, my roof was usually fairly clean. Not now! BEWARE!.

So far, everything has gone well
4/5

This was purchased for use in my camper. My son, on the other hand, was the one who used it first. After seeing him use it, I decided to give it a try myself. This stuff, in my opinion, worked extremely well. The first thing you should do is wash the top of your camper. When it's completely dry, move on. The second step is completed by you. After reading other reviews on this product, I decided to do the second step after reading that it gets extremely slippery. They were correct in their assessment. It does. I'm not sure how long the second step will take. I'm going to use it for the first time. But if it works, that's fantastic. I'm going to buy it again. Keep in mind that this only applies to the roof and not the rest of the camper.

STREAKS OF BLACK
3/5

I should've paid attention to the negative feedback. The app was extremely time-consuming and (obviously) required twice as much effort as a single app product. The black streaks are the most obnoxious aspect. I've hand-scrubbed the entire unit twice now, and they're back every time it rains. Soft scub removes them completely, but water from the roof pulls the product off and streaks horribly. My year 2019 is reminiscent of the 1980s. The plan is to get a single-app cleaner with UV protection and hope that it will remove the camco sealant's byproducts. Buyer beware: if you care about the appearance of your RV, avoid using this product!!.

It's a cinch to use
5/5

It was a cinch to use. The first step was a breeze to complete. I mixed the ingredients with an RV wash brush and sprayed them with a garden pump sprayer. Step 2: That's exactly what I did. I should have paid more attention to the directions and moped in step 2, but I just sprayed it on and did two coats. HEADS UP! It's going to get a little slick! ONCE DRY, IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO WALK ON! It hardens into a glossy seal that is VERY SLICK! the price was well worth it.

Finally, a successful one! It's far superior to any single-part cleaner/conditioner
5/5

After a few hours of work, my 38' motorhome's roof looks brand new. A year's worth of dirt was easily removed by the cleaner. After that, I applied two coats of part 2 to the roof, and it now appears to be brand new! I think I've tried just about every one on the market before I came across this one. I'm not going to change my mind.
