5/5

I'm not sure how to rate this product because I haven't used it; however, I gave it 5 stars because I can't think of anything negative to say about it. br>br>I thought I'd done enough research and double-checked everything, but when I opened up my differential, I was taken aback, and I wanted to make sure no one else made the same error. My 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 4x4 crew cab did not fit, despite Amazon's claims. The reason for this is that my truck came equipped with a GM Eaton G80 Locker differential. All of my research suggested that I should be able to replace the spider gears with an open carrier, but this is not the case. If you have an Eaton G80, you won't be able to rebuild the differential, and these spider gears won't fit.

This is an extremely serious factory defect
3/5

I've been running a spartan locker for the past year and have been very impressed with the gear. br>Components arrived boxed and sealed as expected, but the spider gear shim did not fit over the cross pin when it came time to install. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the shim's center portion, which should be pressed in to fit the cross pin, had not been completed. It's a factory error that can't be forgiven. br>Because I'm an international customer, it's even more aggravating because returning it for a replacement would take a month. and my car has to be back on the road tomorrow, so I've had to put the rest of the kit together and use an old shim from the broken gears in the hopes that everything will work out.

I would purchase this product again because it is of excellent quality
4/5

I ordered this from Rock Auto and they shipped the wrong one, which cost me time and shipping money, and I went to O'Reilly's with the old spider gears and they still ordered the wrong one, which cost me time and shipping money. After a lot of wasted time, I decided to order something from Amazon. To tell you the truth, Amazon delivered once more.

It was an exact match

Fits my F-150 from 1995. There are exactly 150 of them. It was a simple job that took about half an hour to complete. Remove the rear wheels and brake drums, as well as the diff cover. br>Take out the pinion shaft and small shaft bolt. br>Remove the c clips and slightly push the axles in. br>Take the gears and washers out of the assembly. Replacing the old kit with the new one and putting it back together. br>To reseal the diff cover, all you need is some gear oil and a little silicone.

The price is excellent, and the fit is excellent

Excellent quality. These were Yukon Gears that didn't qualify as "Quiet Gears," so I ordered them. They weren't quite smooth enough, perhaps. I'm not sure what I'm saying. They appeared to be of good quality, were well-installed, and there was no additional noise coming from the rear end (97 Wrangler, 224K miles). The package arrived on time and in good condition. If there's a problem with the gears, I'll keep you updated. So far, I've been very pleased with the results.

Gears that are made in the United States and are of excellent quality! The rear end of my 1998 S10 with 7

4 liters was a perfect fit. There are 625 gears total. They come with a new crosspin and lock bolt, but no installation instructions; if you need them, you shouldn't be inside a rear end in the first place. Simply lubricate the shims prior to installation to prevent them from galling. br>Baby, it's made in the United States of America! I'll be back for more of these wonderful people's products.

Amazing

Ok, I've had these for about a year and have had no problems with them, even when using 4x4. I've also put them to the test by putting my truck in four, hooking a chain to a Dodge Dakota, and pulling it so hard that the Dakota's transmission broke. I have them in a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4.

9% of cases, this will not work. Although the machining appears to be of high quality, the fit is far too tight. With only three gears in place, I can't even get the assembly to turn. I'm not sure why they bother to make this part; they couldn't possibly have worked for anyone. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> On Monday, I contacted Yukon/USA Gears/Randy's for the first time. In 1999 and 2000, GM appears to have used a different carrier for those two years only, possibly only in SUVs. Because spider gears for this carrier aren't available from Yukon/USA Gears/Randy's, I'll have to look for them elsewhere or use a carrier from an older truck (and completely redo my rebuild!). )br>br>It's still a one-star rating. In the description, they should account for this possibility.
