Questions & Answers

The wheels are spinning in both directions, is this a posi?

Limited slip rear ends are used in this vehicle. The other wheel engages when one slips, not when the other is locked.

Did you have to reshim the pinion gear or anything, or did the factory settings on spacing and shimming work as they were supposed to?

When I did mine, I regeared, so it had to be shimed. My experience with factory shims would have been identical if I had not regeared.

Is it necessary to use a certain type of oil. What kind of friction modifiers would it require?

Running 80 to 90 minutes would be recommended Is a 90W non-i No additional additives are added to this synthetic oil. I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have. The first half of the year has been good
4/5

The 2004 Ford F150 comes with a 5. 0 liter engine. This engine was a good price, as well as the FedEx shipping for free. I ordered the car. While the process of installing it was no picnic, after much research on "how to do" on the internet, it's done. It has so far performed well as if it were brand My next update will be after I drive some more highway miles.

E-commerce is the way to go The Detroit Locker is another name for the locker
3/5

If you accelerate hard around a corner, it will lock up. As the vehicle accelerates straight line, it will shift from left to right, throwing the front end all over. When shifting high revs it will churn the left or right tire. When driving through snow and rain, it will behave like a locker, making it impossible to drive. This is not a good choice for off-roading as it will not lock up when required. The Ford F150 owner should keep his or her email address Utilize a raptor module (mod) to keep both tires locked in at speeds up to 100 mph. Summit Racing is where I bought mine. It turned out to be a waste of money to purchase this.

F150s and other 9s with 2WD are well suited to the Limited Slip
4/5

35 spline Fords with 75" wheels. 2WD F150s equipped with a clutch-engaged factory limited slip axle are clutch-engaged by default It is plate-based, so it wears out very quickly regardless of how one drives. You don't have to spend half a grand just to buy or rebuild the stock traction system if you need to replace your worn out one (or to ensure you still have some traction). A gear upgrade would be a good start Using a limited slip like this Trutrac will provide a stronger lockup and last indefinitely. By preparing beforehand, you will be able to avoid getting stuck in the first place if you drive off camber and the chances of getting unstuck will be increased if you make some mistakes. The tread provides mechanical traction to the vehicle, even if there wasn't any snow on the ground Other than the slipping wheel, it's not engaging and is not wearing It is highly recommended that if you plan to spend a significant amount of time on challenging dirt roads (farm, remote camping or hunting), you install a full locker in the rear, which will give you full traction/power on rocky terrain It is a wheel that spins. Owners of the 2WD F150 with the 9. 5 liter engine. On rear axles with a 75" 34 spline axle, either the full time Detroit Locker or the selectable air locker from ARB are available. To drive safely around corners in the city in my Jeep, which I use for my Detroit run, requires only a moderate level of skill. If an F150 had a much longer wheelbase, it would be much easier for it to be driven on the street compared to a Detroit coupe. A part-time or selectable locker such as the ARB, which is off until you need it, is hard to beat for those with the money. One complaint with the ARB is the on board air compressor requirement that might fail sooner or later and lead to a couple of bills to fix. Then there is your answer! This is for 2WD Ford F150 drivers with the 9-speed transmission. The Trutrac is the best limited slip, the Detroit is the best full time locker, and ARB is the only option available in a selectable rear locker for 75" rears. I think that for a daily driver who spends 95-55% of the time driving, the Trutrac makes sense because it is the most practical, and it is also the most economical. The letter P. Listed here is a "Detroit" brand locker, which is no longer available. Since Eaton now owns this, it would be categorized as an Eaton Trutrac limited slip, as opposed to a Trutrac Limited slip. At Eaton Detroit, we have a full-time locker room. Lockers are described in detail on the websites of Eaton, ARB, and OX.
