I believe these clamps are designed to fit 1 1/2 inch oar shafts, with the 2" referring to the length of the pin that fits into the oar lock.
It's meant to be shared by two people.
I was guilty of the same error. I ordered two more because I thought they came in pairs, so I now have a total of four. Because they're adjustable, they should fit any oar. More importantly, measure the width of the hole in the boat to ensure that the post on the oar lock fits correctly.

PRO:
1. Arrived on time and at a reasonable price.
2. I'm hoping it won't rust because it's zinc plated steel. br>3. *crossing fingers* Adjustable to fit a variety of oar sizes (PLEASE MEASURE YOUR OARS BEFORE ORDERING! )
4. Can be drilled to add pins to the lower part, which isn't really a pro, but it prevents the oars from being lifted out of the oar socket inserts. br>br>CON: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is not the place
1. No pre- Drilled pin holes, trust me, this is something you'll want.
2. Picture deception: the attached image is from Amazon, and I mistook it for a pre-order. It's not a drilled pin hole; it's a flaw in the image. It was a good lesson.
2. If your boat, kayak, or other vessel does not come with oar socket inserts, purchase them; my 12' Jon Boat came with them brand new. These will NOT fit into most oar brackets that come with small boats; they will require the oar socket inserts. OTHER: br>br>OTHER: OTHER: OTHER: OTHER: OTHER: OTHER: OTHER
1. As a result, I made a mistake and failed to notice that there were no pinholes. As a result, I'm going to have to make my own pin holes.
2. If you don't require the pre-drilled pin holes, BUY.
3. DO NOT BUY if you believe it is already pre-owned. Pin holes have been drilled into the surface.
4. When it comes to pin holes on the lower shafts, do some more searching and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I purchased a pair of oars, and Amazon suggested that I purchase an oar lock to accompany them. The oar locks are far from ideal. I put them on and attempted to use them without knowing how they worked. The new oars and oar locks were ruined as a result. Not to mention the fact that I was stranded on the lake and had to be towed in. I'm considering bringing a legal action against you. I've been ordering a lot of similar items from Amazon recently. Amazon, I've discovered, lies a lot and will say anything to make a sale. I spent a lot of money on a boat cover that was a complete lie, and now I'm out of money. It's past time to bid Amazon farewell. I no longer have faith in them.

The plated finish is nicer than expected, despite the fact that it is not stainless. The top bolt is a little too long, so I'm going to replace it with a smaller one, but it's not a big deal and could easily be cut down. If I ever need another set, I'll order these again.
These were purchased for an aluminum paddle, and I used them to maneuver my aluminum boat close to the dock/shore. Although many people are concerned that they will not be able to hold their paddles, I recommend firmly placing the paddle on it. While rowing, this will cause the paddle to naturally rotate and slide. Scratching the paddle's surface is a minor task. If you find yourself in this situation, wrapping the paddle in protective tape or other material is a simple solution. Because I frequently use paddles in salt water, I replaced the original bolts with stainless steel bolts and nylon nuts prior to use. Even if I have to change them on a regular basis because of the price, they are still a good deal. The most important feature is that, despite its small size, it is extremely powerful and useful.
I would not purchase these oarlocks again, regardless of how inexpensive they are. They're made of a metal that rusts quickly (especially if you're out on the water in salt water). After only a few months, they were covered in rust, and when your boat gets wet, the rust oozes stains onto it. I've used a lot of boating gear, and this is by far the fastest rusting metal I've ever seen. They're zinc-plated steel, but I'm guessing the zinc wears off quickly and the steel is of poor quality.
These were purchased to go with the Caviness Lam 7-foot. Oars that are made of wood. The Sea Dog oarlock was recommended as being "commonly purchased with. " " Regardless of this advice, the oarlocks did not fit snugly on the oar shaft. Rubber inserts had to be added between the oarlock clamp and the oar shaft in order for the clamp to tighten.
Oar locks are great, well-made, and work well, but they won't work with the Sevylor Oars recommended by Amazon unless you use an oar lock collar.
The gasket on the nut that comes with it is either too big or something. It doesn't come tightened at all, and one of the screws is so small that I can't even tighten it with my pliers. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing Simply put, the screw is stripped. With the help of pliers and a drill, I was able to tighten all but one of the bolts, but they were all stripped in the process. They aren't easily loosenable, at the very least, but they should be able to be fastened. For the price, this is a huge letdown.
