However, the gasket included in the kit has no bearing on a 42RE transmission, as stated in the description. To replace the gasket, I had to go to the store. It is imperative that the description is updated to prevent this happening to others in the future. A NEW UPDATE Due to my mishaps, the company refunded 30% of the purchase price to me. As well as updating the product description, they have also updated the website. Due to the partial refund they gave me, they asked that I remove the negative feedback. As of this moment, I have changed my review from 1 to 3. Taking action is a good thing because they worked quickly to fix the description, so it does not happen to anyone else. They also offered a refund, so that I still had to spend 2 hours driving around to find the right gasket, and this does not change the fact that I had to waste my time. In addition to telling us about the item itself, these reviews also reveal some information about the company that sells It is important to me that the company I am buying from has a good reputation. The only consequences of everyone changing their ratings on the basis of a refund would be that everyone else would suffer. It makes me wonder how many other items are sold with errors in the description if they were not diligent enough to verify the item before selling it. In any case, people will have something to consider before they make a purchase.
However, the supplied gasket is not compatible with my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee in spite of what the seller's website says. The kit has been completed with the addition of other parts. In the meantime, I am stuck with a gasket that will not fit and a car I cannot move until I.
It was a problem with the EPC solenoid from the start. In lieu of this junk, I will be ordering a name brand one. When you pay for something, you get what you paid.
It appears that the Governor Pressure Solenoid Transducer needs to be replaced based on the error code on my dashboard. A half hour later, I was done. I had ordered this kit and taken my time to complete it. It has now returned to its normal shifting pattern.
This solenoid was used to fix a problem with my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that wouldn't shift out of first. Considering I was quoted $2,800 at a local shop for the same repair, this is a great deal. A few hours and a few gallons of transmission fluid later, and my Jeep shifts with more smoothness than it did.
The gasket was the wrong one for the cherokee 2002 except for the other parts which fit.
I got right into it, and it worked fine. The check engine light went off right away. Despite the low price, the gasket is relatively cheap. Luckily, this OEM gasket is reusable and excellent, so I used it again.
