You'll have to find out what kind of truck you have
If your transmission is having trouble with reverse, it is likely that it needs to be rebuilt. Just yesterday, my daughter sent her truck back on a tow because the rebuilt transmission failed to work after it was replaced

If you want to move the solenoid, you need to pull the little metal clip down straight using needle nose pliers. Make sure that you push the solenoid in all the way in order to have the clip fit correctly into its groove. Everything else went fine and I was able to resolve my shifting issue. In addition, it would be wise to buy both A and B solenoids in order to avoid having to replace the other It's much cheaper in the long run to buy two for $20 when you have to replace a filter, a pan gasket, and about 6 quarts of tractor.

The solenoids on my trailblazer were defective. I spent an afternoon replacing them, and they lasted less than I am very happy with the new ones. It is a valuable resource that is being wasted.

One was found to be defective so my mechanic had to replace it so I went to a local store to buy another one but had to have my truck towed home because it had only reverse so I'm not sure if he did it wrong or if my mechanic did it wrong. When you drive your truck to a mechanic and have to have it towed back, it isn't fun.

I have noticed that my 4L60E's shifts have become quite slow and sluggish for the last couple of years. The problem was somewhat solved with the addition of additives and switch of fluid/filters, but it kept happening. Having conducted internet research, I decided to replace the shift solenoids, since it seemed like a relatively simple and inexpensive process. The effort is worth it. In any case, I replaced the solenoids while the pan was down and I changed the fluids and filters once more The process is very simple. This is amazing! It's amazing how much has changed! Compared to when it was brand new, the car shifts better! The shifts are firm, swift, and crisp!.

Considering nothing was wrong with the transmission, it was only the connection outside the transmission that was the issue.

O seemed to be a good fit. The problem is not there.

This 96 Chevy Astro has a 4L60e transmission and I use it in it.
