It would have been nice if a HPOP screen had been included. Everything was exactly as it should have been. It was ordered to install a Dorman oil cooler (fingers crossed) with garbage seals. It would have been nice if a HPOP screen had been included, but the Dorman screen that came with the cooler worked fine. By the way, the Dorman's screen material appears to be superior to that of the OEM. br>br>The truck has not yet been put on the road, but the seals should not cause any issues. If that changes, I'll make a note of it in the review.

You can save money on the oil cooler but not the gaskets

I've replaced a few oil coolers in my time, and I'm always hesitant to use the non-original gaskets. Cooler kits for Ford coils I had a bad experience once and will not repeat it. I now buy a Dorman or other brand oil cooler for a third of the cost of a Ford unit and get the Ford gasket set, and I've never had a problem. The Ford gaskets are exactly what you'd expect them to be.

OEM gaskets delivered quickly and at a reasonable price

The part was exactly like the original Ford part, and it was delivered quickly. If you purchase a Chinese-made aftermarket cooler Purchase these OEM gaskets as a favor to yourself. These gaskets saved me money and time over buying from a local dealership because I didn't have to do the job twice.

On a 6, this is the only way to go. It's ideal for resealing the Chinese oil cooler you just replaced after less than a thousand miles. Or, if you're clever, you'll order it to keep you from having to do that job again.
