Yes, the n55 cp can accommodate it. I purchased a factory-like aluminum aftermarket cp.

Will this work on other charge pipes, or will it only help monkeys?

This was ordered for my ECS pipe and turned out to be too big. OEM and ECS are supposed to be the same size.

Correct size for my BMS aluminum chargepipe

Apply a little oil to it and place it in the slot in the chargepipe. Slide the chargepipe on and tighten the clamp.

Although it was overpriced, it solved my problems with the factory o ring

I knew it was overpriced, but I needed it right away. Did an excellent job, far better than the factory o- ring. I had some trouble connecting my throttle body to my new VRSF chargepipe, but once I did, it worked perfectly.
