Is this supposed to be a replacement for my Ford Ranger 1L54 from 2002? 7H417- What is an AD MODULE?

Yes, it will work; it is the only p/n for a transmission (governor/modulator) computer for a Ford Ranger from the early 2000s.

It is 100% compatible with my car which is a Ford Explorer 2002 v8 xlt 4x4 Kindly verify. (The 1l24 is the original model.) 7h473- 01mu152c06) are you looking for?

a unique model

Is this a control module for 4x4 vehicles? I'm looking for the 4x4 control module for my 2002 Ford Ranger 4x4 xlt. ?

Yes, your entire transmission is controlled by this. This was the part that needed to be replaced when my truck wouldn't engage 4WD when I turned the 4x4 selector switch. If the TM101 unit is working, the 4x4 light in the speedo cluster should illuminate for a brief moment when you turn your truck on; if it does not, you should replace it.

4x4 control module that is a direct replacement
5/5

It really works. I recently purchased a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport, and I was aware that the 4WD was inoperable. After doing some research, I discovered that the 4x4cm (control module), which is located under the passenger side kick panel, is a common issue with these vehicles. The 4hi/lo indicator lights on the dash, which should light up briefly when you first start the truck and stay lit when in 4x4, were not working for me. When enabling 4 wheel drive hi/lo, there is no clicking sound from the control module, which you should hear on the passenger side. Long story short, it was replaced in about 10 minutes, with the negative battery cable unplugged, and it now works like a champ. 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1L54- 1 7H417- This unit was labeled 1L54-AC 4x4cm AC 4x4cm AC 4x4cm AC 4x4cm AC 4x4cm AC 7H417- AE 4x4cm. There aren't any issues because it's a cross-platform application. The references are correct. Also, the image displayed is incorrect; however, you will receive the correct part when you place your order. This unit will also correctly replace the following numbers: 1L54- 7H417- AB, 1L54- 7H417- AC, 1L54- 7H417- AD, 1L54- 7H417- AE, 1L5Z- 7E453- TM101, AC, AC, AC, AC, AC, AC, AC, AC I hope this information is useful to others. I did a lot of research and found that Amazon had the best price, especially with Prime free shipping.
EDIT: The product is still working well almost a year later. They appear to be showing the correct image for the item now as well.

I was able to fix my dead module, but there was still a problem with the Transfer Case Motor to fix
5/5

For the past 5 years, I hadn't used the 4 wheel drive on my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I finally got myself motivated to clean up my bass boat and get it ready to launch. Before hooking up the boat trailer, I wanted to make sure my 4x4 was still functional, which I discovered was completely dead. Not only did nothing happen when I switched from two wheel to four wheel high or low, but there was also no illumination of the four wheel high/low indicator lamp on start-up (apparently an indication that the Transfer Case Control Module is no longer communicating with the vehicle's ECM). br>br>After replacing the TM101, the 4 Wheel High/Low indicator lamp illuminated on startup, but no 4 Wheel High or 4 Wheel Low functionality was available when I tried to switch to those modes. I disassembled the switch portion and cleaned and greased the gears after removing the Transfer Case Motor (TCM) and testing it on the bench. It appeared to work (applied power to the motor power wires and the motor ran in both directions). I tested the TCM on the vehicle after reassembling it by plugging it into its harness (but not the Transfer Case), and it performed as expected. After that, I reattached it to the Transfer Case and was able to use 4WD once more. I believe I had some corrosion on the Transfer Case Motor's or the vehicle's connectors, or that manually manipulating the Motor off the vehicle knocked some corrosion of the electric motor's or switch contacts that had built up due to lack of use.

When you start your Ranger, the 4WD lights do not come on
5/5

That's exactly what you're looking for. Excellent product that does exactly what it says on the box and is ready to use. It's quick and easy to set up, and it gets the job done. So here's the backstory: ON FORD RANGER 4X4 SYSTEMS, THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM- If your battery dies, your 4WD system will stop working. This is because the 4x4 control module, a small box, frequently fails when the battery dies for some reason. How to figure it out: It will not work if you try to shift into 4WD (H or L). Is it the 4x4 system, then? To check: You'll notice a bunch of dash lights illuminate when you turn the key in the ignition to Accessory mode (without turning the truck on). THE 4WD IS NOT FOR YOU. That's perfectly acceptable. The 4WD lights will illuminate for a split second when the truck is turned on (only when the truck is turned on). If these lights do not illuminate and your 4x4 system does not function, Have you recently experienced a power outage? Have you gotten a new battery? Yup. Your 4x4CM is toast, I'm afraid. Purchase this item and connect it to your home's electrical system. It's in the lower passenger kick panel (remove the panel and use a small socket to remove the two small nuts), then unplug the old unit and plug in the new one. When you start the truck, the 4WD lights will come on. VOILA, your 4x4 system is back in working order. You will save hundreds of dollars by not having to go to the Ford dealer or the mechanic! (Thank you for taking the time to read this. ) PS: My Ranger was a 2002, but this technique will work on any 4x4 system from 1996 to 2011. ) Make sure you get the right one for your vehicle (Rangers from 1998 and earlier have a different CM than newer models).

fits a ford ranger 4wd from the year 2003
4/5

This was purchased to repair the 4WD system in a 2003 Ford Ranger. I'm giving it a four instead of a five star rating because Motorcraft needs to update their system to reflect that this part fits a 2003 Ranger. My truck's 4wd broke down a few months ago. I initially suspected a faulty transfer case motor, but replacing it had no effect. If the 4wd lights do not illuminate when the key is turned on, and the switch does not make the click sound of electric relays opening and closing, this part is most likely not mechanical. After much research and concern, I took a chance and purchased this in the hopes of resolving the issue; the concern stemmed from the fact that motorcraft claims it does not fit. It took me 3 minutes to remove the part, 30 seconds to plug it in, and 2 minutes to reinstall it, and it fixed my 4wd perfectly.

The job was completed successfully! The OD off light blinking (which I had no idea what that meant) was my first indication that there was a problem
5/5

The 4wd switch, on the other hand, had no lights and did not change state when switched. I assumed it was the motor (transfer case), so I replaced it, only to discover that the new one had no effect (I had previously replaced one in a 1991 Explorer, which had fixed the problem). Everything began to work after I ordered and installed this module. When the key was first set to run, the indicator light (along with the other dash indicator lights) did not come on for a brief moment. br>I bought this pickup (2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4) at an auction and wanted to turn it into a daily driver. Now that I'm living in Utah (the Ogden area), I needed a vehicle with 4x4 capability. With 178k miles and less than $3k in investment (excluding new tires), I really like these vehicles.
