Since my Suburban furnace uses the same control board as my old Suburban water heater, they are the same. You can use this
Potential problem, however check the hi limit switch behind the little black cover with the reset label. Make sure the reset has been completed by testing with the butt end of a screwdriver. This can be done to determine if the rubber part is damaged and if you can get a good electrical bite and if the rubber is not the problem. If you check that then either the switch or the circuit board is bad. My guess is the board the igniter is controlled by. I forgot to mention the 12v side of this is on the right hand side of the
A RV product representative has indicated that modules 520741 are compatible with all Suburban water heaters with serial number 953900766 or before. The module 520741 was redesigned and has been replaced with the A design change has been made to the same board.
You may ohm out the in cabin switch, and if it is fine, you may check the voltage on the water heater thermostat. It typically has 120 volts on both ends of the thermostat when it is used with Rep insulators. Check it with a bolt meter on both terminals to ground. As with the other thermostat (12v), use the DC 12v range on this as well. To make sure you're getting 12 volts, check on both sides. In most cases, the controller is the culprit if the three components are all functioning properly. When you test an open thermostat that is not responding to cold water, you will get a failed thermostat message. The fact is that water heated by an oven would cause them to trip open. A 12v open opens at 110 degrees and a 120v open at 120 degrees, according to my understanding. In my opinion, they have both been open until they are triggered (opened) by a high temperature in the water. A fairly sure assumption is that if neither the propane side nor the electric side are working, then the problem lies with Buy a new controller as opposed to a reconditioned one. I have been twice. I did not have any more fun than in the first visit.

There is no power in the water heater in my camper because it is less than a year old. A Surburban sw6d propane only heater is my current Despite the igniter not sparking, no flame was produced. The first step I took was to replace the igniter, but that did not help. The board was replaced and I was able to use it again shortly thereafter. The following update has been made It took about seven months for the new board to fail. There are only a handful of times that I might have used the water heater in those 7 months. There is an issue with these boards. It took a long time for the water heater to light. A few minutes later, it switched off the water heater after starting up. In some instances, the flame would begin to light, but I could hear the igniter sparking as if it was still trying to ignite. As soon as the igniter could not even spark, it failed completely. In retrospect, I may have replaced it with a Dinosar electronics UIB S board, which fixed my issues. I'll let you know how long this one lasts.
Currently, we are boondocking a lot, so we needed an immediate fix, so I replaced it with this board. It is quite different from our old board (the old board had a lot of resisters and was made up of different chips) but it works great. We own a 2018 travel trailer and the propane side of our heater died after a few weeks of use. Although I will still get the new board under warranty for a spare, this was a very simple fix that you could do on your own if you know where the board is located.
In my pop-up travel trailer, the hot water heater is from a suburban. As of the last couple of trips, the igniter became less After some time, the propane would come on, but the igniter would not ignite. I followed the wires to the circuit board to determine what was causing this. In the vicinity of the ignition coil, there was a brown/blackened resistor. It remains unclear why the resistor failed, but it appears to be the only component that was visible to suffer damage. My water heater had a problem with the old board so I swapped it out for a replacement one and it's running again. As these boards are not particularly robustly built, and this one is likely to fail, I hope to find a company that rebuilds them. As far as the mountain goes, it's pretty shoddy, with a foam block attached to the back of the printed circuit board in order to keep things from falling out. The frame of the trailer is attached to the box with two philips wood screws. In general, it looks like a board created in the 1970s with very simple components. Using a $1 case with a $2 PCB board, I would guess there are likely to be $15 in parts. I am always amazed at how little progress is made when things are just good enough. Fortunately, I was able to fix the problem by replacing the board and now I have a 1970s style electronics board that does almost nothing. Ten dollars would be needed for a temperature readout, a power consumption readout, and the entire 'digital' solution. It is what it is.
The circuit board on it only lasted two months after I replaced it with a new one. A trip in May lasted through a long trip purchased in September - everything worked well. It happens this year in June. A few days later, it stopped working. The data was taken out and if my memory serves me correctly, it's the same issue as last time. This is just more made in China garbage.
I was able to solve my problem using this board. Here is what I have. This is a suburban water heater model SW10DEL from a 2018 Springdale travel trailer by Keystone that I bought new, so I know it is the original board. We went on vacation and the water heater was working fine, but it suddenly shut off. Troubleshooting is one of my hobbies, so I started doing it myself. This board kept popping up everywhere. I did some Google searching and discovered that this is a widely reported issue. It has been reported in other posts that they had gotten gas, but no spark was coming out of There was nothing happening with mine, you hit the switch and nothing happened. Furthermore, my board was not burnt on the back as others have stated. You can see from the picture that my board did not get burnt on the back. The new board lit up immediately after I plugged it in, hit the switch, and it's been running ever since! This is a simple task that you can do on your own without even being a DIYer, its simply a matter of unplugging the old unit and plugging in the new. Others have complained that the board doesn't last very long, so we will see if that's true in the future. As for its overall rating, I gave it 4 stars due to the fact that it was.
I was on time, the plug worked perfectly, and the device was well packaged. An issue with the propane side of the water heater caused me to have an outage. It would open and would try to light, but the ignitor would not ignite. I tried lighting it to see if it was just a problem with the ignition, it would light but not detect I came to the conclusion that the board was not good. It took about 10 minutes to install this replacement. I was fired up right away. It contains the exact same components as a Suburban SW6DEL water heater. It even came in a plastic box with a cover. It will be interesting to see if this.
My 2018 RV blew its original board in less than one summer. The board is still rocking hot water even after a couple of months of use. I found the installation to be very simple. It would be a good idea to take a picture of your broken one and see how it was connected, then make sure it is connected the same way on this one. My hopes are high that this one works for a long time since it seems to be a better quality product than the original.
unit The Forest River 27' RKSS is for sale. An electric water heater with a 6 gallon capacity.
Based on my research on the web and forums, it seems it is probably the controller board. Since my control board is easy to get to, I checked it, and it had a burnt spot on the back so I knew it was faulty. The next day it arrived, a little different from the original, but now it works and we have hot water, pretty awesome since we are only here for 5 days, then we head back out! Thanks to the seller, the manufacturer and Amazon for getting this to us so quickly!.
