The brackets are up to the task, but can your transom?
I'm not a mechanic, but I did something similar when I installed my CMC tnt. With the new setback, I needed a few more inches of upward clearance to clear the steering linkage. It worked fine, though I had to drill a few new holes to fine-tune the cav plate's height. Best wishes to you.
Thickness of 1/2" 6061- Aluminium alloy T6
We used them on our Jon boat, which had a 30 horse clamp on it.

Re- powered by a variety of engines ranging from a 1985 Johnson 120 hp 20 inch shaft to a 2014 Evinrude E-TEC. On a 20-inch transom, TEC 115 hp with a 25-inch shaft. Because the pattern on the new motor is different, I had to plug the original mounting holes. The lifting bracket works perfectly, but in order to access the manual power lift release screw, an additional hole must be drilled in the bracket.
I am overjoyed! Don't forget to pick up the bolts, which are sold separately.
On a previously L 20" transom, an XL 25" shaft engine was installed. This product is fantastic because it eliminates the need for fiberglass work and is extremely durable! Make sure everything is lined up properly before installing; I matched the engine first, then the boat, and finally the final install.
But it's the turnaround time that has me the most impressed. I'm in Auckland, New Zealand, and I bought the item on March 1st. It stated that delivery would be on March 19th, which I would have been happy with, especially since Covid has been having delivery issues elsewhere. It was instead delivered today, March 8th. It's incredible that it only takes a week from order to delivery. Thank you very much.
