Questions & Answers

Is this valve compatible with the Sealand 510 toilet?

The chances are very good. The following are some of the reasons why I believe this: I'm guessing that this Dometic part 38531439 is interchangeable with the SeaLand part 314349, which (according to what I've read) fits the following toilet models: 906, 908, 910, and 911 are all numbers that can be dialed. 28, 911, 913, 510, 510, 511, 147, 148, 149, 206, 208, 248, 306, 308, 348, 406m, 408m, 448m, 506, 508, 548, 806, 808, 848, and 980.

Is this going to work with the Sealand 711?

Thank you for contacting Dometic with your inquiry. We recommend that you call our sanitation department at 1-(800)-SANITIZE (1-800-SANITIZE). 800- 321- For more information, call (800) 9886.

Although you claim that this valve fits the Sealand 210 but not the Sealand 110, the manual lists the part number as the same for both. Why isn't it 110? (385314349) ?

because I used it on a 210 and don't have the part number for a 110, but if you have the part number and it's the same, go for it.br>Hope it fits.

I had to place a second order for one of these
3/5

I had to place a second order for one of these. Over the winter, the black plastic cap cracked once more. During winterization, this is the only place where antifreeze does not reach. The cap is a one-of-a-kind item that cannot be replaced; the only option is to purchase the entire unit again, as the cap is not available separately. As a result, we've had to replace it three times now. I'll file a complaint with the BBB because the brass cap was replaced with this flimsy plastic part, and I'll replace the toilet in the motorhome next time with something other than the Dometic/Sealand brand because their customer service is terrible. The phone number provided will only connect you to RV repair shops in your area. This reveals a great deal about the business. There are a lot of recent reviews, which I find interesting. When we first replaced it, I thought it was fantastic as well.

On my Dometic 510 toilet, this water valve performed admirably
5/5

This was perfect for my Dometic 510 toilet. The improved brass shaft should be able to withstand a lot of abuse. I gave the o-ring a lubricant. rings on the shaft with silicon grease to prevent nicking and improve seal. I sprayed the ball, as well as the entire waste tube, with silicon spray after it was installed. To keep everything lubed, I sprayed silicon on all sides of the ball seals. She can now hold a lot of water and does not leak. I replaced the vacuum breaker, the water valve assembly, and upgraded the sprayer with a much better hose as part of a complete rebuild. I also had to fix a water-damaged floor, which I elevated 16 1/2" above the toilet, which was a significant improvement. br>Included are the following parts:
- Vacuum Breaker Hand Spray Kit by Dometic (385230335) - The pipe going into the back of the toilet was too short, so this was the wrong one for the 510; I used about 1. I used 5" 5/8 inside diameter clear nylon tubing to slip over the plastic pipe, then added about 2" of 1/2" CPVC and a few hose clamps to secure it all together, and it now works as it should. By the way, the toilet plastic pipe isn't a standard CPVC, PEX, or PVC size, so none of those couplings would have worked. The Dometic 385230325 Vacuum Breaker Hand Spray Kit with Extension is the item I should have used, but my extension works, so I'll leave it at that for now.
- I used dish soap to lubricate the Dometic SE341549 385310063 Floor Flange Seal as directed on the package.
- Dometic 385316140 Toilet Rubber Seal Kit - br>Gray/Black - SmarterFresh Rounded Bidet Sprayer Head Only, Stainless Steel Brushed Nickel Diaper Sprayer Bidet Head with a length of Stainless Steel Handheld Shower Hose that I had leftover from other projects This spray head does not leak and looks a lot better, but it will not fit in the Dometic spray head retainerbr>- Sanilo Elongated Toilet Seat (Sea Breeze), Wide Selection of Slow Close Toilet Seats, Molded Wood, Strong Hinges Neo 320 Luxe Bidet - Dual Nozzle with Self-Cleaning Function - Water is available in both hot and cold temperatures. Toilet Attachment (blue and white) with Electric Mechanical Bidet. For the bidet, I installed a hot water line in my water closet. While not cheap, this bidet is excellent and eliminates the need for a large amount of toilet paper in the tank. br>br>So now my 22-year-old toilet is as good as new, the toilet is elevated, which makes it more comfortable for me, I have a bidet, and everything looks great.

As expected, the fit was perfect
4/5

It's not the simplest thing to put together. It took a few tries for me to figure out how to do it. Because the connectors are so close together, it's difficult to reconnect them after they've been installed. Before you install, I suggest connecting lines. Because the barb is quite large and difficult to remove, make sure your worm clamp is in place before attaching the hose. Before installing the dome, apply some grease to the top. This was my hope for stopping the toilet from constantly leaking water into the bowl. It made a difference in a small way. I thought this was the problem because I had replaced everything else. If the problem worsens, the next step will be to replace the toilet.

Good value for money, quick delivery, and simple installation
5/5

Perfect fit and function; takes about ten minutes to put on. When you run anti-freeze in your RV, an RV technician told me that When it's time to winterize, flush the toilet several times to ensure the anti-freeze is working properly. Freeze penetrates the valve's lower portion. Because fluid does not flow there, the toilet must be flushed thoroughly enough to remove the anti-bacterial agent. Freeze in there to dilute the water that has accumulated in the valve's lower section. It's not going to happen with just one flush.

Even if you winterize it, it will freeze and break over the winter; the old ones had a metal cap on the bottom, but the new ones are thin plastic and can't be unscrewed and replaced with a metal cap
3/5

During the winter, even with antifreeze and blowing air through the lines, these will freeze and split. There is no simple way to get rid of the water. I've replaced five of these (my RV has two toilets) and will now be forced to replace my toilets with a different brand because I'm tired of turning on the water in the spring and having a massive flood in my RV ruin everything. The only other option is to remove them during the winterization process, but that's going too far; I already have enough chores and projects on my plate. I'll look for a more reputable manufacturer.

The valve is in perfect condition
4/5

It took less time for the package to be delivered. The valve is in perfect condition. The delivery was quicker than expected, and the price was reasonable. The only issue was that one of the new mounting screws that came with the valve was broken in half and could not be used to install it. To finish the installation, I had no choice but to use one of the original mounting screws. In large letters on the installation instructions, it was stated that the original screws should be discarded and that the new screws should be used instead. However, I needed to install the valve at that time so that I could leave on a planned camping trip with my camper. So far, everything has gone smoothly and there have been no leaks.

Camper for a portion of the year I was able to get the valve quickly
4/5

When I installed it, it worked perfectly. We took a three-day trip. Last weekend, I went camping for a day to make sure everything was in working order. The OEM valve, on the other hand, had a threaded Brass cap on the bottom, which allowed you to open it up and service it if necessary. This one has a black plastic cap glued on it, making it impossible to service it in any way. I'm old school and prefer to be able to repair things, at least temporarily, if I'm out camping and can't get a replacement right away, but I believe those days are long gone.
