Questions & Answers

I'm getting an error that says "Retract Timeout requires service." Is this the board you're referring to?

This isn't a control board; instead, it's a touchpad.

What would cause my front jacks to bleed out in less than 5 minutes?

The electric system in our camper is gear driven. So unless there's a short in the keypad, it won't bleed down on itself. Hydraulic front jacks are something I'm unfamiliar with.

Will this work with my 2012 Montana Keystone 3800re? Is it just me, or does my display fade in and out?

All I can say is that this model replaced the one that came standard on my 2015 XLR. The buttons are a little different, but if the wire connector is the same, it should work. It will work as it should if your original plug and other components are identical. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is the 421484 lcd touch pad the same as the 234802 part number? Is this one likely to succeed?

I simply swapped out the 234802 for this 421484, and it worked. I checked Lippert's website before buying, and it stated that the 421484 supersedes the 234802.

Lippert 421484 takes the place of 234802
5/5

It is simple to change out. That's exactly what you're looking for! This item is a direct replacement for the Lippert Ground Control leveling touch pad, part number 234802. Our screen went out, and we got by for a while without it, but you can't manually adjust side to side or use the other menu features because you can't see which menu option you're on. br>br>With four screws, you can easily remove and replace the old with the new. It's a significant investment for a small LCD screen, but it makes life a lot easier when we move sites every few weeks. I'll keep you updated on how the product holds up over time. As with the previous unit, I'm hoping for a few years of use from the LCD.

It does what it's supposed to do, but it's pricey

On my fifth wheel, I needed to replace the existing electric jack controller. The camper who has become the face of everything that can go wrong with a camper. The original camper's push pads had become sporadic and difficult to use. The replacement worked perfectly; we'll see how long it lasts. In terms of value, as someone who has worked in the electronics industry for a long time, I can confidently estimate that this item is worth at least $15 to $20 in parts. I understand markups, profits, and so on, but there has to be a lot of profit in this item if it's being mass produced by a contract manufacturer. However, you can only get one from resellers and Lippert, so they've got you, and they're well aware of it. There's no reason for these press pads to wear out; they're essentially a sealed unit that sees very little action. Because the controller is usually stored in an unheated environment, there's a good chance that condensation and other issues will arise during the winter months, causing oxidation of the conductive traces in the push button contacts. This component isn't well-suited to the environment in which it'll be used. I won't know how long this replacement will last because I sold the camper from Hades.

This is a fantastic 6-pack replacement
5/5

Touchpad for the point leveling system. Our 5th wheel's original touchpad was becoming increasingly unresponsive, and turning it on took nearly five minutes. I ordered this replacement before a long trip because I was worried it would just stop working. The controls were set up differently than they were before (newer version?). The pin connector and circuit board, however, appeared to be identical. I replaced it (it only took a minute) and thoroughly tested all of the features. It was a cinch to use. I don't have to keep pressing a button to get the contact to work any longer.

This version has taken the place of the previous one
4/5

Product arrived quickly, and it was a direct replacement for my previous version. The older version of the outside housing didn't have slots on the side edges to allow the nubs on the side of the new touchpad to snap in, so I had to use the new one with the new touchpad. It is simple to put together. There were four buttons on the left side of the old version I had, but there are only three on the new one, with the "Retract" button relocated. br>br>With the exception of getting a message when turning on and pressing "Left" and "Right" to retract to hookup position, everything works now. I'm not sure if retracting everything, hooking up, dropping, and re-connecting will solve the problem. deploy, but having all of the buttons work so far is a huge improvement over what I had previously. br>br>At first, I had issues with nothing working in manual mode, as well as inconsistent response when pressing the "Front" to raise and/or retract landing gear. Auto Level worked fine, but it was difficult to get it back to the hookup position. (I'm just putting this out there in case anyone else is having the same problems)br>2013 Keystone Alpine 6- auto-leveling point.

234802 is no longer available

This was used to replace a touchpad that was not working properly. br>br>The old touchpad had a few issues, the first of which was a dead LCD display. It worked after I unplugged and replugged the display. The left side would not move when the left button was pressed again. All of the other jobs were successful. The pad worked fine the next day. br>br>The leveling was restored after the pad was replaced. The only thing I don't like about it is the price. br>br>THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT IS THE PRICE. I'm not sure how this part can cost as much as it does.

It took only 5 minutes to install and fixed the problem perfectly
5/5

Since I bought our Raptor used in 2019, the indicator lights on my control panel have been out. It eventually stopped working and could only be restarted by unplugging and plugging it back in. Replaced with this new unit, which was as simple as replacing the original housing with the included plastic housing, plugging in the new unit, and snapping it in place, despite the fact that it looked a little different. There was no need to reset the level because everything worked as it should, including the indicator lights. Everything went according to plan.

Just plug it in and go
5/5

My LCI looked exactly like the one in the Amazon photo. I was given a new unit that had a slightly different appearance. At first, I thought I'd ordered the wrong part, but it turned out to be the correct one, so I'm guessing the manufacturer updated the design. Prior to ordering, I called a local RV shop and was quoted $435 for the same part, plus $250 for installation and recalibration. br>It took me less than ten minutes to set up. After watching a few videos on YouTube, I knew this was going to be a do-it-yourself project for me.

The panel is functional, but it is absurdly expensive
3/5

The failure rate of the original panels appears to be quite high, given how infrequently they are used, but rather than address the issue, they have decided to overcharge customers for replacement units because we have no other choice. There is NO REASON to charge this much; it's revolting.
