In a 68 three-speed automatic, it should fit, but not in a two-speed power glide.
I believe you can, but it depends if you use a clip or a metal slot on the fuel side. There is only one version of this cable for slot use.
You can attach it to your transmission and use it with the Rochester 2 barrel and 4 barrel carbs, as well as with other carbs such as Edelbrock with the addition of additional linkage parts. Since you will need to remove the trans pan, I recommend that you switch out the pan gasket and filer. I wish you the best of
