In the box, you find parts that appear to be of good quality. Once I received notification that my package was out for delivery, I removed my CV/axle. The package had already been dropped off when it arrived. The four metal clamp rings that came with the box are missing when it is opened up. It is useless. Second package arrived after being ordered. The first reply has been sent. We start installing and realize that the boots are too small for the new shaft on a Tundra. When the first tore, I just gave up trying to get the second one to I plan to order OEM equivalents from a vendor different from the one I currently use. Reducing the star rating from 2 to 1.
I found the slide to be much more challenging than I anticipated. It was great that the kit came with two, even though I only needed one. The first one I ripped trying to slide it over the cone using the suggested technique of doing the large side first. The second one I succeeded with by doing the small side first. Even with the added effort, it was still better and easier than replacing the shoe using the traditional method of sliding it over.
It is very I could not tell whether it was a glove or not. It was great to get a free installation cone as well. I was able to complete the work much more efficiently.
The axles on Toyota Avalon OEM vehicles will not fit this part. Although the boots themselves seem of reasonable quality, they are difficult to install without removing the axle and taking it apart, so there is no need for this stretch boot.
I installed it without any This is a good product. There is nothing like good It's a good clip, but you'll need an extra tool. Having a hard time understanding what a funnel is.
Unless you're a mechanic yourself, you HAVE to watch instructional videos on YouTube. Moreover, a mechanic friend came over to use his tools to help Hubby remove a bolt he was unable to do on his own. Our friend didn't know how you could work on the driver's side boot, so my hubby changed it while our friend was here. I was amazed at what he said!.
In the end, it was definitely worth it, since it saved me a lot of money and enabled me to keep my original OEM axle. Additionally, the passenger axle can be nearly impossible to remove if you live in the rust belt due to the carrier bearing being seized in place. The product I have in mind is highly recommended.
The price is reasonable and the product is of high quality. You will need to push the boot over the mounting cone with a lot of effort, but persevere and you will succeed.
