Can you tell me what kind of steel it is?

Steel made of solid material. As well as the balancer, bolt and washer, the bottom crank gear was ordered in my order. The replacement parts were factory original equipment manufacturers. That should be of some help.

What size of socket is it going to ?

The harmonic balancer bolt has a diameter of 22mm and OEM bolts for it.

It looked as if this bolt would fit in my 2005 Kia. The mechanic said it didn't fit on the part of the motor he had to put a bolt that didn't fit. On my truck, I am rigging a tire. THIS BOLT MAY BE INTENDED TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THAN WHERE I THINK IT SHOULD GO.

There is a torque to yield part that is a one time use item, which means you have to replace it if you remove it

The vehicle has been driven 5000 miles and has never had an issue

It has been installed on my 2005 Sorento along with a timing belt set, and I have not had any problems since. Because some of the originals would tend to shear off, I didn't wish to keep the originals.
