There is probably a problem with the wiring or the device is defective. Get a new one and return the old I have never had a problem with mine lighting up
Using these switches is a total pain in the rear. It took me about 10 minutes to adjust the wiring placement for mine. I found that the positive leads at the switch should be reversed.
Would you mind telling me what my what is
You can either mount the rocker switch in a housing or cut a hole in the dashboard or wherever you want to mount it and it will snap into place. Switches have tabs at the top and bottom that are used to hold them

As you can see in the photo, if you place your wires in the manner I did it will keep the words lit until you flip the switch, which in turn will light up Normally, you would hook up the dual leads to power. If you aren't using keyed power, the bottom right terminal should be keyed, and the middle left should be constant however, depending on the load, I recommended On the bottom left you have the connection for your load (light), that is how much power you have going forth. Grounds come in first and second. Thanks for reading! I hope it was helpful.
Honestly, it worked great and fit in my nissan titan oe switch. There are two leds on this switch where you can turn between them and I removed the black wire connecting the ground to the left and left the black wire connecting the ground to the right, so the led that remains on is off and when the switch is turned on, the second led will light. The problem has been solved, good luck to you. You should leave the numer 8 wire off if you want the electronic switch to be on and the led to be on.
Switches of this type do not usually fail, but they are Because of these issues, I will not be using this switch for my new ATV. It has wire leads that are only 20 gauge wire, and the wire is so thin that they could cause a fire at 20 amps. In addition, the switch does not seem to be waterproof. Rather than rely on electricity for my 12'' led light bar, I will use another source of energy. You might be able to use this switch for other installations. The wiring that comes with the switch is not designed to handle the wattage that the switch is rated for, so I gave it a 2 star review.
When I installed a light bar on my Polaris Ranger 900 XP, I made use of this switch. As far as I was concerned, this application worked for me perfectly. There was a blank in the dash that fit perfectly into the switch. There is a positive lock when moving back and forth on the switch. It feels solid. Two things strike me as nice about this switch provided by MICTUNING. With the switch, you get a wiring diagram that clearly labels the connectors on the back. In order to replace the round rocker switch that was included with the wiring harness for the light bar, I used this switch. I drew a diagram that made the change as straightforward Also included in MCTUNING are two sets of jumpers for the hot lead and grounds of the switch's lights. After I had pulled the blank plug out of the dash, I was able to connect this switch and install it more quickly. The switches will be useful for all other projects I work on.
Dual backlighting (on/off) for a LED light bar on my RZR is a big selling point for me. This is initially a sturdy and well built product, however the back posts fail to stay in the housing and are loose. There appeared to be an o-ring missing from this product I can't figure out why the lamp has a ring around one of the LEDs (to keep water out of the switch body) and why it smells like it's going to catch fire if it's In spite of that, it does not get hot and appears to be able to handle a 30" LED light bar with no problem. Finally, the wiring diagram that comes with it is useless. It is fascinating to see how the posts on the diagram differ from what is found I tried various jumpers to see what would work and eventually succeeded in getting it to work. It is not something I would purchase again and I will be replacing it with a higher quality switch.
You've got to check them out! My cab has a great glow from the bright LED lights, and I've gotten a few compliments on it. There is no trouble with the wiring and everything you need is included. In terms of wiring, you're going to need to purchase additional wire depending on how far your power source is from the switches, but mine installed without a hitch. After measuring everything to perfection, it took me about two hours to install these into my truck, but I'm very particular about appearances in my vehicle. These devices don't require an electrician to set them up, Mictuning does it all for you and lays it all out on a very simple interface. It's a pleasure dealing with these switches, both in terms of quality and appearance.
However, this switch did not fit on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma limited because it is red and bulky - Having selected and compared various switches, we had to buy another brand for the console because they were about 1/4 inch smaller. As you can imagine, the one I needed was more than twice this one's price. There is nothing wrong with this switch, however, it would have been nice to see a note that it does not fit my truck.
After attempting to make contact with every possible source for help, I thought I would post it here for anyone interested in helping me. The 5pin switch I'm using to wire an LED light bar doesn't seem to work. To test, I am connected to a power source on pin #2, and I will wire an accessory power to this after everything is working. To connect to the original switch that was intended for the light bar, two wires are required. The red one is larger than the black one. With the red one, I attached it to the to light plus the As for the black one, I have run down to the As soon as I connect the to ground -, #7 pin to a ground I get both upper and lower electrical signals There are lower lights on the switch to light up, but the light bar would turn on or off when it was activated. The upper and lower parts of the light bar stay together, even when the black one (from the light bar) is attached to ground - #7 pin Lights come on in the lower part of the switch. As well as that, the led light bar lights up, but I can't turn it off or on. My computer just stays on all the time. I need help figuring out what's going on. Immediately following pickup, the UTV will be taken to the Deadwood SD area to be used for a week's worth of riding.
