My travel trailer electric tongue jack is powered by this switch, which is also used as a battery disconnect in case curious passersby grabbed the tongue It is simply mounted in a plastic handy box and is mounted out of sight in an out of the way The box I purchased for the switch was a little deeper, so I bent the wire terminals 90 degrees in order to install it.

There is no water proofing on these

Please do not fall for this scam. do not have any water resistance. I replaced them after one year on my boat, but they fell apart due to rust. They were so corroded and rusted I couldn't screw what was left into the My console was left marked all over with marks from the Dremel tool I used to cut out the smudges. Better switches can be found at West Marine please do yourself a favor.

The quality of these appeared to be excellent. Nevertheless, I suppose I must follow my order. In that case, I needed a switch that would keep the position where I wanted it. They were spring-loaded on and off. It cost me nothing to return them and order what I want. It looked like they were well built, though!.
