In my 1964 Chevy II, I removed a subpar cooling system. The Original Owner had installed a second generation SBC from a 95 Sliverado, which was wired to a 10 amp radio fuse in the fuse box while using electric cooling fans. There was no thermostatically controlled load relay in place, so this was a direct connection. The fans would come on only when they were needed after installing the MFA108 and 40 amp relay, rather than running continuously with the key on until the 10 amp fuse burned out. For the past 18 months, it has worked flawlessly. This temperature change has made me very happy. In comparison to similar products available online, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the pricing.
This is what I put on my 1996 Blazer. It had been converted to an electric radiator fan, and it was constantly running. Unless I was driving on the highway. Then I'd use a toggle to control the relay's negative trigger side, which turns on the fan. So far, it appears to be working. It arrived in good condition, and it appears to be a well-made product at a reasonable price. I'm going to get a second one as a backup.
It does a great job at what it's supposed to be doing.
Fans turned on once and then stopped working; I tried it several times, checked fans by connecting them directly to the battery, and they were fine; go to your local parts store for simple parts like this.
