A Ford 7 should be added to the collection. Relay 3, for instance, has some relays that appear very similar to this. As I understand it, they are different somehow, and should not be swapped out for one another. It is for the glow plugs, and from what I understand it should only be used for the glow plugs. I hope
It is true. On my 1995 Ford F250, I installed the unit.
This is the version of Windows I've installed on Those are three powerstrokes, and I believe they are exactly the same engines.
Rather than 7, this is for 8. It is the 3L that is different from the 89, which is the idi

The one I installed on my 7 appears to be working fine. A 2002 F-3L We had the 350 for less than two years and 10,000 miles before it failed. The White Rodgers 586 was replaced by the new one With a contact rating of 200 Amps, the 902 is rated for 200 amps. It is not known what the DY861's rating is, but I've seen pictures of the contacts inside one and I doubt that it is capable of any power ratings above The White Rodgers 586- are available for purchase on the company's website A DY861 costs $25 more than a DY902 on Amazon, and it is on sale elsewhere for less. Note In addition to being larger and more difficult to install, the White Rodgers part is also available in different sizes and colors. There are instructions on how to install it if you do a Google search.
When shopping around, I found that Motocraft offered the best price for the glow plug relay. There were less expensive glow plug relays available and more expensive glow plug My first solenoid failure was around 90K miles and three years ago. I had used an aftermarket brand at that time. After looking at a couple of brands, I decided to stick with Ford because it lasted for more miles and longer. surprised at how much local parts stores were charging for solenoids and even O'Reilly's was asking for more money Amazon is a great service, so thank you for that. Even though there was a heavier duty one out there for more money, I could not use it since the fitment was unusable and required modification. The solenoid is probably burned if you don't have a volt meter or test light to check key on voltage. You can check the terminals during a visual inspection of the solenoid for burned terminals To inspect, you can pull back the rubber protective cap. Both times I found my cables to be discolored and overheated.
My knowledge of how to install them means I won't have to continually pay a mechanic to install them for me. While they were under warranty, the fact that the first two failed under warranty illustrates the poor quality of the products. Contacted Motorcraft but they did not return my call They do not provide contact information anywhere, so it appears that customer service takes a back seat to their other priorities. It appeared that the only email address I could find belonged to another department at Motorcraft and no one was able to assist me.
I bought one of these and installed it because issues started when it got cold outside. Anyway, I assumed something else was wrong with my truck because the situation never happened to improve. It did not work when I checked it today, it seems to engage when voltage is applied to the coil but no voltage gets to the glow plugs. I purchased both a cigarette lighter voltage reader and usb charger and I can conclude that glow plugs are not being activated by My voltage dropped when I manually jumped the main relay lugs because that is what would be expected when glow plugs are engaged.
There was a complete break in the relay fin near the positive terminal. There seems to be a factory bag instead of a box for the relay.
I smelled something burning and saw smoke coming from under the hood the next day. It was a faulty replacement, and could have just been a faulty one, because I felt that motor craft was the best replacement. Replaced with an aftermarket one from O'reilly's and is doing just fine. In this case, a refund was made in a timely manner, so there are no complaints.
I bought and installed it in Feb 2017 to replace one that was 18 years old and suspect. Fast forward to February 2019 and it is no longer functional. Keeping the old ones on there would have been a good idea. In the end, I bought a comparable one as my mechanic advised this was the best available, but I was pretty disappointed it only lasted two years, whether it was.
This is the third power stroke. Though the website says it is the correct one, it is NOT, I purchased it back in July and didn't get around to installing it until this week just as it was beginning to get cold, my fault.
