For my 2002 F150 4WD two wheel drive, I replaced the speed sensor. In the fenders was a 6.l GM engine located about directly across from the driver's door hinges on the driver's side of the transmission. This was actually an easy change to make.

It's the perfect fit. Buying this item for my 2000 Ford Ranger 3 is a very good decision. It has 122k plus miles on an automatic transmission. As a result of the intermittent reception of signals from the ECM, it was difficult to select the gear and start the car. It appears that the original unit had more pens than the replacement, but fit and function were perfect. My mechanic and I both suspect Ford may have used this unit for other purposes as a result of the differences in pin quantity. The price of this device is excellent from Amazon, and if the service life of the last unit (almost 18 years) is any indicator, it is also an excellent value regarding durability.
I highly recommend this product, it fulfills the purpose it was designed for.
It appears there is a sub part number you need to be aware of, as the holes for mounting it are different. Yes, this is the correct part number for a Speed Sensor on an E series Ford van. There is no difference in the basic part number but there is one difference in the subpart This part was a huge hit for me since it's hard to not like Motorcraft parts, and Amazon accepted the part without any questions - I'm very happy with it! Their food is great and they have a great staff It is the best option out there. It's time to get the system back!.
