Cummins 9 cylinder engine I'm not sure what the big deal was about this, but it's a direct fit for the 1998 12 Valve 5. Cummins 9 cylinder engine I guess only time will tell if it works perfectly. There is no need to make any changes.

After a month of normal use, the solenoid broke. These are difficult to replace in the first place, and having to do so on a regular basis becomes tedious. Internal components that are less expensive.
