It was not possible to find a torque specification, so I tightened it. As you can see, it worked well for me.

The elocker sensor was installed in my 1998 4runner to replace the original. There was a dealer who wanted 70 bucks for this, so this was a deal. **There is a tiny bit of extra plastic on the male plug of the switch - it's a little bit longer than the stock one. As a result, I had to sand it a little bit to get it to snap into place properly. Within 30 seconds, it was done.
Other buyers left good feedback, so I decided to purchase it. OEM switch would have cost twice what I paid for this, so it was a no-brainer for me to get this one. I received it in 2 days, and it was easy to install. All that had to be modified or dealt with in terms of electricity was plugging it in. We will have to wait and see how it holds up in the future.
With this switch, I was able to fix my 05 Manual Corolla's reverse lights. In checking the bulbs and fuses, I happened upon a forum where somebody mentioned this part. Both this and the original part require a 27mm socket, so I immediately purchased the part. As you can see, this is a very easy job to do from the top and it takes only three minutes Time taken five The old one can be unbolted, and the new one can be screwed in with just a long extension or two of them connected together. well- I drive a 2000 Toyota Tacoma manual base model, and an interesting fact about it is that the backup switch is located on the right hand side of the transmission, unlike most Tacomas. It took me a few weeks to realize that I did not know where it was - I did not have any problems installing it.
A 2005 Toyota Matrix XR 2WD/Manual was purchased with this item. By looping the circuit with a paperclip, we verified the old switch was bad. When I tried to use the reverse function on this part, the lights did not come on. Once I disconnected the wire harness, attached the switch, and tried it again, I still did not see any light. Fortunately, Advance Auto Parts had the switch for less than half the price and I installed it and the reverse lights are now working. Part numbers from Beck Arnley match the vehicle and this is the exact same part sold by AutoZone. However, the one I received was dead on arrival.
I was able to install it in my 1999 Toyota 4runner without any problems. All of my lights are working and no leaks! Here's today's update Now that it's been working intermittently for about a month, it doesn't work anymore. The water supply was also compromised by a My only hope is to obtain a new one that stands the test of time.
It is difficult to use an open-end wrench on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4 wheel drive transmission. To get the switch loose, I had to use an extension and slide bar. I was easily able to change the switch and it fit perfectly.
