Designed to fit a 2002 2500HD Duramax LB7 with an Allison 5speed transmission

I found the solution to my NSBU problem! I lost the gear notification light, and this started me off on this journey. However, I could not see which one I actually shifted in while I was looking at the PNRD311. I did not hear anything when I put the transmission in park so I put it in neutral. Next, I had codes PO708 and PO700 flashing on my service engine light. After changing the NSBU, clearing the codes, and replacing my NSBU, my problem was fixed! It is not a NAPA store, but my local auto parts store The Amazon Prime shipping (Amazon actually took two days) is a good deal here. We were quoted over double here and ) wanted over double the cost here. You can save yourself a headache now if your NSBU needs to be changed if you are experiencing issues.

Light was inhibited when the shift occurred
4/5

It came in an OEM Allison box. As it turns out, it turned out to be the ignition switch that caused the problem. It appears that the ignition switch can cause a voltage drop to the solenoids of the transmission, so they seem to fail. Having replaced the switch, the shift inhibited light disappeared from the truck, and it now runs properly. 03 Duramax with Allison 5 speed.

It is relatively easy to install, but it is expensive
5/5

NSBUs are relatively easy to Removeing the connectors that are secured inside by what appears to be non-metallic fasteners is the most challenging task There must be a hardening substance that helps prevent moisture from getting into the metal connectors. You will gradually be able to slip it off with steady, slow, but forceful pulling. Chisel the piece off with a screwdriver or an equivalent tool, not a screwdriver or equivalent. material inside has a very flexible nature and the banging effect will cause damage to the connectors because it bounces out of then back into the connectors. It is therefore important to pull on the plug steadily and slowly, even if it is difficult. By doing so, the substance stretches, and is unable to bend back. This will cause it to I just wanted to give you some advice. The product has improved water management features that the original lacked. There is no such thing as I was able to eliminate critical trouble codes once I replaced it.

It's like new

The 2003 LB7 is still in excellent condition. I really like this price. There is a substantial savings to be made. It took a while for the package to arrive. Amazon has served as a significant source of purchases for me. The shipping in this case is far and away the slowest. Affected by symptoms The first problem was hard shifting from first to second. Once the time has passed. . I noticed a funny shift in the middle of a 3hr trip. During rush hour, I noticed that I was stuck in a high gear as I approached traffic. As I mentioned, my truck was in no hurry since I couldn't get it into 1st. About a week later, the symptoms started showing up again and finally I noticed my TCM codes along with some hard shifting (I finally went to autozone to find out what the codes meant). The vehicle would get stuck in third or fourth gear Putting the pedal to the metal The reverse is not possible. Restarting the vehicle after it has been turned off. Some of the time it would work, but eventually shift into high gear and stay there. I believe this mode is also called "limp mode". My knowledge of this topic is rather limited. I was just reading the forums in the hopes of saving a few bucks. The savings are There are some cases when retail charges are more than $180 and dealer charges are more than $300. It is likely that the dealer would charge you for 1 hour's labor. It is already apparent that savings have been made. To install It shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes to complete the part. My case took an hour, as you can see below. In the video, it appears to be merely an alignment tool for the shaft. A silver clip, it seems to me, would only keep the shaft The program was not left on the computer after installation. It came with a black cover because I believe it is a weather guard.

Two bolts and one nut to remove with a 3/8" It measures 13mm in front and 13mm in the back. Back to you. It has a nut in the middle measuring 15mm. Firstly, you need to block off at least one tire to prevent it from rolling and put the truck in neutral before following the steps on YouTube. This is a pretty easy installation. I have had the following experience during installation Having said that, let me say a few words. My experience was that once it was installed, it did not work right away. The truck continues to run even after you turn it on or off. In the details of the TCM review after browsing all the "how to" forums, I found something about the ground wire. Other than a computer for transmission and it throws codes, I have no idea what it is. I found the TCM/ECM location on the radiator shroud by looking for the location of the vehicle's interface circuit board. It was unbolted with a socket 10mm in diameter. After you unplugged the connections, you blew on the conections like you used to do when playing old Nintendo Connected them to the wall again. Powered on the truck and everything seems to be working. Quite a bit of mystery to me as to why this The reason why it worked on the Nintendo games is because it was a graphical advantage. Would it be possible for the computer to I'm not sure, but it works after taking it for a test drive. We are very glad that it worked and that there was no waste of money on a part which didn't need to be replaced, as well as no labor costs not to mention the steep price of parts. This should be of some assistance to.

The installation process is straightforward
5/5

The fit and installation were perfect. A total of 30 minutes was required for completion. If you are going to remove the old wires, use a heat gun to warm them up. This was a great help. If you need to get the wires out of the old one, you can use a hammer and flat screwdriver to break the housing. The housing is all that needs cracking, the plugs are not.

This is an easy and fast process
5/5

In my Allison transmission, I saw numerous error codes. The chevrolet forum said a lot of people would have bought this from an auto parts store and paid thousands for it. It would go into limp mode and stay in third gear. The shift light would flicker in park and then go out of power going into reverse. It does not cost more than 00 and is easy to replace. You should not need to wait 1 hour for the shop to replace it. I had mine taken out and replaced it in about 30 minutes. The whole process takes less than 30 minutes. My thanks go to Amazon.

The price is also very good
5/5

My 2004 GMC Duramax pickup had a shift inhibited message on the screen, a check engine light that appeared occasionally, and the gear indicator that went off and on. After finally putting the transmission into safe mode, shifting from park to drive and only running in second gear, the transmission went into safe mode. I had the part installed and all my problems were solved. The price is also very good.

The same replacement as the original

I installed it easily, but if you don't follow the instructions for setting up neutral position, check it twice.
