Several quality control, design, and OEM replication issues exist, including the fact that the power connectors on each motor are hanging dongles, making them more susceptible to strain and failure

The real problem with both connectors is that when you plug in the car's power plug, it pushes the metal away from the connector, preventing them from making contact. I discovered this after I installed the unit. To keep the metal connectors from becoming dislodged, I had to fiddle a lot. When I finally got the connections to work, I noticed a lot of vibrations when the fans were running at full speed. The actual fan rotor has about 3/8" clearance on each side between the shroud, compared to about 1/16" clearance on my original unit. This extra gap, I believe, will allow for some reversion and will obstruct the creation of negative pressure in the Plenum. Overall, the fans are less noisy. Because it appears that different brands of this unit have the same exact design, I don't believe there is any hope of finding a better aftermarket replacement. I'd gladly pay $150 to $200 to have my factory unit rebuilt with high-quality components. bushings or bearings of high quality.

Not in a good way

The fans are not well balanced, and there is some vibration as a result. To cut down on vibration and noise, I had to wire the fans to my radiator.

Overall, it's a fantastic product with only one flaw

The cable connectors are identical to the originals, but the cable lengths are drastically incorrect, causing the harnesses to stretch. In any case, the cost savings over a Jaguar are well worth the hassle of assembly. The control module is not included. In every other way, it's a good fit and performs admirably. It has the same appearance as the other, but there is no data imprinted or on the label.

Not a fan of this

This unit does not appear to be compatible with a 2002 X-terra. type. Without splicing, the fan wiring has zero slack to connect to the fan module. I'm coming back.
