The mirror does not come with a rubber knob to move it. A junkyard was the only place I could find the knob my son needed for his car.

It is a matter of pride for me to say that despite the fact that I may now have tetanus, I was able to accomplish this job in about an hour with nothing but a socket wrench and a torque driver. On the internet, I found instructions for how to replace the door panel and was instructed to remove it first. There is no way to remove the door panel without a deep, narrow socket to remove the bolts behind the arm rest, which I did not possess. I managed to wrestle my way through it without removing the door panel, proving that testosterone can fuel situations like this.
There is no thread on the cover so it cannot be screwed If the vendor can provide a handle cover, I will be happy. I definitely do not want to go through the removal and reinstallation process! With both a buddy and two pairs of pliers, we were able to remove the spring loaded control section from the wires and replace it with the factory control section in just five minutes. However, this made a five-minute job take two people forty five minutes. As a matter of fact, if it had been a locally purchased part, I would have returned it right away. A couple of stars only because the mirror matched the factory mirror and the plastic shroud.

Oh dear. That seems to be incorrect On smooth roads as well as rough ones, the mirror vibrates badly. In addition, the factory ones are extremely solid, so I don't know what they are comparing them to when they say excessive vibration. In addition, the plastic on this mirror appears to be weak, at least from where the screw holes are located. There was little torque applied to tighten down the torx head screw on the leading edge, so it stripped the plastic mount hole with not much torque applied. The hole almost makes me wonder if it was pre-existing To begin with, the hole may have been too large, or it may have been stripped. I tightened the larger mounting bolt properly, but did not try to make it as secure as the original for fear of stripping that hole as well. Since I got that sense that it wanted to be tight, I left it as is. Until now, the unit has been stable enough, apart from the vibrations in the glass. The only good thing I can say about this mirror is the smooth adjustment of the glass and the ease with which you can fine-tune it. As I suspect, it is also the cause of the vibrations, and I'd much rather have a solid mirror because they are usually set and forgot about. As a result, I would say that this mirror is barely adequate for use in a pinch where you don't have the money to buy a genuine factory replacement or just need something for now and can't afford one. My Focus mirror was smashed by a deer who ran into the side of the car. is the perfect mirror to replace that one! This mirror, however, is a manual one, and I needed an electric one for my vehicle. As a result, if I need to move the mirror, I can stick my hand out the window and move it as needed. It was awesome because I didn't have to pay anyone to do it for me, and I was able to take the old mirror off and replace it with the new one after watching a YouTube video on how to do it. I found a great price and even a better buy!.
It rattles/vibrates when the mirror is shaken. I have threads on the knob that adjusts my car. There were no threads received by the unit. As of now, you can only see the stik flopping out of The quality of the product you buy is directly related to the price. Whether or not it works is irrelevant. We would not buy from this company.
