These were purchased to serve as a video signal switch between my Audi's CarPlay and Backup Camera and the MMI Screen. It's designed to work with 12V, so when the 12V on the backup light is turned on in reverse, it switches to backup camera, and when in drive, it switches back to video on the CarPlay. br>It's been working flawlessly for a few weeks now. It's very affordable and does exactly what it says it will do; I'm very pleased with it. When energized with 12V, it can be used for a variety of applications because it has one default connection and can switch to another.
These only require a few milliamps to actuate the coil when using a high impedance coil. I use them in control circuits, so the contact current demand is low; however, I have no experience with how they switch a large load. This is my second set of relays, and after 30 months of use (daily switching on/off), there have been no issues. br>If I need more, I'll order a third set.
Positive: The coil pulls a total of 18 volts. 5 mA. br>Contrary to popular belief, the leads are a little flimsy. br>br>I'll use these to control LED turn signals that only consume 400mA at 12 volts. These are going to be perfect.
Signal relays with a specific function Relays that can be used for a variety of purposes. Because the pins are a little flimsy, don't try to push a lot of current or voltage through them, but they're perfect for signal switching and low-power applications. Because its impedance and current demands are about half of what some of my other 12V relays require, the coil must be fairly small. Another important point: My pins were bent because they were shipped in a padded envelope rather than a box. You can successfully bend them back with smooth-surfaced tools if you're careful. pliers with a wide jawed jawed jawed jawed jawed jaw.
Relays that work well.
The product is of excellent quality and performs flawlessly.
I didn't test all ten relays, but the first two I took out of the package worked perfectly in a 12v circuit. The relays appear to be just as good as the $5 ones. At Radio Shack, you can get a lot of stuff for a lot of money. It's too early to say how well they'll hold up, but if I have any issues, I'll update my review.
It's a nice compact relay that works well and is a good value for money.
