That is, after all, what it was created for. When a very low amperage current near 12 volts is detected on the triggering circuit, the high amperage circuit is opened, allowing up to 30 amps to be powered. It also has a separate circuit lead that works in reverse and can be wired for 50 amps as an always-on circuit until the trigger circuit is activated, which then turns off the heavy load. I used the standard key activated low amp current to trigger the relay on an Hei truck distributor upgrade. Everything is in order.
It isn't a latching relay, to be clear.
I'm not at home, so I can't measure, but it's about 1 1/2" square from what I recall. It's a lovely unit that's simple to set up. I used it as a relay in my starter circuit, so it's always useful and trouble-free. I hope this has been of assistance.
I am confident that this relay will work for your application; however, please ohm through all male connections to be sure.

I used this to replace my car's fuel pump, which required a much higher current than the OEM pump and necessitated the addition of a new power feed to the tank. This relay now controls the fuel pump without issue, but because it is mounted in the trunk, I cannot comment on weather proofing, though the rubber seals appear to be in good shape. br>br>My only criticism is that the color coding of the wires for the relay socket is not intuitive at all for power connections, so keep the small instruction sheet that comes with it to identify the wire polarities. This is why I docked installation a couple of stars.
For my 2017 Jeep JKU, I used this relay to build a custom wiring harness. I wanted to use the OEM wiring to add auxiliary reverse lights. I purchased the Rugged Ridge 17275 because I didn't want to cut the OEM wiring. To modify and adapt to my needs, I'll use an 01 trailer wiring harness. I needed a good relay because I wanted the aux lights to turn on with the factory reverse lights while also having a manual activation switch that didn't interfere with the OEM reverse lights. My unique wiring diagram can be found in the photos. br>br>In addition, because this relay would be tucked behind the back fender, it would be semi-hidden. The environment is exposed. This Fastronix relay proved to be the ideal solution. Advantages: br>br>
- Relay of exceptional quality.
- The wired relay connector that comes with it is a standard 5-pin connector. the pinout of Bosch Any 5-star hotel will suffice in a pinch. It could be replaced with a pin relay.
- The connector wiring is of high quality and long lasting.
- Some basic wiring examples and options are shown in the diagram. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- None!.
I used it to replace a starter relay with a heavy-duty relay. There was no starter relay in Italian cars, and the solenoid coil was energized directly by the ignition. There is insufficient current to energize the coil when heat soak occurs. It worked after I added this relay. I made a bracket out of 3D printer parts and attached it to the starter. The filament can withstand higher temperatures than the starter can, so the problem is solved!.
It's used to run two radiator fans. It's way more amperage than they require, but I wanted to be safe rather than risk blowing up a standard 30a or 40a relay. Fastronix should provide the terminals and gasket and let me install my own wire in an ideal world, but I understand that most people just want to splice wires together, so whatever. Yes, I could have purchased the components elsewhere and built my own, but I needed it right away. Amazon! Fastronix, in my experience, provides high-quality products that they stand behind, so I'll be buying more of their components.
Buy these if you can afford it. They're exceptionally well-made. They're a world apart from the low-cost relays available on Amazon. My only criticism is the cost; they are unquestionably superior, but you could easily replace the less expensive models 3- Four times the price of one of these relays, indicating that they are unlikely to be a good choice for high-cycle applications. These, on the other hand, are the better choice if you want peace of mind for a lifetime relay with low to medium duty cycles.
What exactly is sharing, and what does warmth have to do with a relay? This relay, on the other hand, appeals to me because it is waterproof and comes with a small wiring harness. As you can see from the photo on the Amazon website, I've tried it out in another vehicle and it's worked great.
The wires are 12G with heavy-duty insulation, a built-in diode, and are extremely tamper-resistant. This is what I used for my electric fans. When it comes to installing electric fans, don't skimp on the relay. This relay comes highly recommended by me.
This is a very nice piece of writing. It has a nice appearance, is well-made, and is far superior to some of the other off-brand items on the market. There are detailed instructions included, and the piece is quite nice. Unlike other relays that I would hide behind a body panel, I have no problem hiding this one "in plain sight. ".
