It was meant to be used with a ram that I bought at Amazon and also the pump that I had purchased here.

There is a problem with the internal valve

It probably worked a couple times but then it wouldn't move even with the pump was on. I took it apart and pressed the check valve and it worked again. It is possible to damage a hydraulic pump if you keep going or rupture a line a little bit.
