I'd say that's most likely the case. But it's not all bad; it's great on my 03 Ultra Classic.

I was hesitant to replace the stator in my Harley Davidson myself, but I decided to do it anyway. I went on after watching a YouTube video. I was at a loss for what to do at one point. I looked in the box and pulled out a piece of paper with crystal clear instructions on the area I was stuck with, which the video seemed to skip over. I couldn't believe my eyes. I've put about 1500 miles on my Harley so far, and thanks to this stator and the instructions that came with it, the charging system is working again.

The stator is of excellent quality

It's a perfect match for my 2003 Harley Ultra. Top-of-the-line stator that was a perfect replacement for the original one in my 2003 Harley Ultra, which died after 90,000 miles. I combined this with a new Cycle Electric rectifier/regulator and was able to get back on the road.

The stator's two coils burned out almost instantly. Amazon provided excellent customer service, and I received a full refund. For your Harley-Davidson, this is not a good idea. Bagger by Davidson.
