To conduct a charge from the charging post on the alternator to the positive terminal on the battery, you simply have to run a 4 gauge wire. It is no longer necessary to use the factory harness. It just needs to be put in a drawer.
There is only one wire from the alternator to the I did not include the cable I used 1/0 welding cable since I had some laying around, but I wouldn't use less than 4 gauge myself, even if the specs say 6 or 8 gauge wire. It has worked It is nearly impossible to see voltage drop with a high power stereo installation and a second battery. A crown victorian company with 86 Limited
The answer is yes. A good starting point is a revving of the engine past 1,500 rpm, which actuates this system. This self-regulatory system is in place. It's one of the best alternators I've ever seen.

This alternator is 57140. The HOTTEST Alternator You'll Ever See! For my 1986 Ranger (2, it is my second "Powermaster" alternator. With my first "Powermaster" I had on my 1994 GMC K2500, I was very pleased. Several of it's customers have commented on how excellent their customer service is, and how incredibly helpful they are. My first call was a concern about how warm the alternator was running so they helped me out immediately. I spoke with an extremely knowledgeable technician who offered explanations to why my concern was not warranted. As soon as I started the Ranger after letting it sit for 8 years (the clutch had failed), I noticed that my lights (all of them) were not as bright as I like, and the MSD 40k volt coil wasn't firing as it should. As a driver, I knew the truck would "jump" on its own if it had more "juice" from the alternator. I was right, and it was! I am happy to report that the coil received more than enough power with 140 amps- very clear and easy to follow, I'm sure I will enjoy doing this 25 days of the year! Since I normally drive long distances, 28 mpg is the maximum I get in Northern California.
There is nothing to worry about with this alternator. I can rely on it to perform exactly as I need it to. It had a higher amperage than I expected on the test slip that came with it as opposed to when i had ordered one for my truck that exceeded it. There are times when you win and times when you lose. Seriously, it's almost twice the amount of electricity you can draw from a stock car at cruising speeds, so I'm happy with that. In case you are wondering, it didn't require any modification to the Ford 5's frame. I had no problems with installation of the paxton bracket after installation and was able to access the charge post without difficulty after it was installed.
My power master alternator is great, but as I purchased a black case, I expected it to be of higher quality so it would hold up better for a longer period of time. If you scratch the paint off with your fingernail, it will come off. Basically, they used a rattle can to prep it and didn't prep it adequately, so they charged you more for the black color. The presentation of the product left a lot to be desired.
A screech and screaming sound is heard after installing an alternator. It does not charge the battery as Another friend of mine took the same exact vehicle to a different company and it didn't have alternator noise and charged the batteries so well that all accessories were on voltage and barely moved. My experience with this alternator is not the same. I guess I learned my lesson. Your money is worth saving,.
Installing the product is a piece of cake. The plug is probably going to need to be spliced with a new one since the stock alternator is probably harder to install. Unlike my earphones, mine did not come with the charge wire, but since I had some lying around, it wasn't an issue. This blinker no longer drops voltage when the light is on. The unit is installed in a '90 Mustang.
After hooking it up with a new battery, it began to charge. This was a wonderful moment, as I did not need to grind or modify my gauge, and my gauge worked just fine without hooking up to a That is something I am still trying to figure There is no doubt that it works it has quality, it's a master of power, it's flawless. Glad to hear that!.
The alternator keeps the engine running for a long time. Unlike the stock 70 amp alternator, this 150 amp alternator gives an instant improvement to my alternator. I've been using it since I upgraded from the 70 amp alternator.
It took a little modification to get it to work, but now it works perfectly.
