Questions & Answers
The current is 140 watts
There is a pigtail on it. If you have any questions, you can contact powermaster by email. This is less likely, but might still work. The same alternators were used by both GM and Buick in the 1970s
The adapter is designed to be a direct fit, so it only requires one wire from the battery alternate. It works great, but I had to turn the back on mine so that it will work.

There will only be about 11 volts available, so the battery will spend these periods being used rather than charged. My whole house is lit entirely by LED lights that consume a fraction of the energy required for older lamps. Depending on the size of the alternator pulley I can find, I will try to use the alternator pulley I have used on previous alternators effectively-- As a result, when the car is driven under the above conditions, the alternator keeps charging, and the dash voltmeter shows I checked my VOM at the battery terminals the entire time and it read 5 volts. When a pulley is used as opposed to an original pulley, the engine will idle an extra 500 rpm.
When I installed my original alternator, it produced 37 watts and my idle voltage output was Is 6 V. Now my idle voltage is a steady 14. I installed the Powermaster and it is achieving that. There are 3 cars with headlights and fans This is a highly recommended book.
I couldn't contact customer support in 9 months because the machine died.
There is nothing better than seeing a beautiful alternator under the Changing the pulley from my old alternator was all I needed to do. I have been adding modern conveniences to my 1986 GMC Jimmy and upgrading some things, and I was concerned about changing the alternator with something out of the ordinary. Now I do not have to worry! It bolted straight on to the engine block and bracket as if it were part of the engine. If you have a small block Chevy 350, this alternator is the one you need.
I have a DUI distributor and a 360 AMC. Have been using this alternator for several months now with no problems. It keeps the engine, lights, and accessories running smoothly. Since I have been a Power Master customer for many years, I have had no disappointments, for their alternators usually work, are simple to install, and last for a very long time.
I am impressed with how durable the black coating is. A 3/8 hole is in the lower housing and a 7/16 hole is in the 454 heads. It would be nice if they created an oversized and sleeved hole so you could simply pop out the sleeve if you have threaded heads with 7/16 threads. As far as I can tell, that will void the warranty anyway so I'm going to drill it out to 7/16.
After ten minutes, it has barely warmed up. My purchase is very good and I am happy to know that it is manufactured in the country of origin, not in China.
This company is solid! This is the alternator to get if your looking for a top of the line model, it comes with an individual amp card for idle, mid range, and full output. The instructions provide a table that you can use to make sure you did not over rev. Having done the math beforehand, I had to change the pulley I originally used because I used a crankshaft pulley under drive. Even though I had been using a 100 amp alternator, all these extra things were straining the car, like the fuel pump, dual fans, dual vacuum pumps, as well as non-standard After installing the Powermaster 57294 150 amp, my problem was solved, the fuel pump is no longer lagging or stuttering. It was the best thing I have ever done.
