So, I'll have to get my alignment done after that?

Yes, an alignment will be required.

I just installed the 2 in leveling kit, and the front end is 1/2 inch higher? Is this something that happens frequently?

This is a very nice kit
5/5

It accomplished the task at hand. On the stock wheels, I put 285/60/18s with a 1. 5" spacers (at full lock, no rubbing in either direction with or without spacers). Eccpp spacers are what you're looking for, and you can find them on Amazon. The installation took about 4 hours, and the instructions are pretty good (you can download them from the RC website and watch a few YT videos to get a sense of what you're up against). AFTER YOU'RE DONE, GET AN ALIGNMENT! The toe will be way off, and the camber will be a little off as well. Traveling down the road is still pleasant and comfortable. I adore these Jeeps with the Mall Rating!.

This isn't a project for the average home improvement enthusiast
3/5

I gave it three stars because I had to return it due to installation issues rather than quality. I made the mistake of thinking that installing this would be similar to installing a lift kit on my Jeep Wrangler. The next day, after making my Amazon purchase, I went to the Rough Country website and downloaded the installation instructions. WOW! The instructions were, to be honest, quite intimidating. You basically have to disassemble the entire front end, including the calipers, rotors, ball joints, and sway bar links, which requires tools I don't have and expertise I don't have. I've been a Rough Country customer for a long time and have always found their products to be well made and reasonably priced; however, this was way beyond my capabilities. I could have had a mechanic install the lift, but I didn't think it was worth it for only a 1" increase in tire size.

God's mother
4/5

What happened to the front end? Prepare to have your entire front end ripped apart. everything from the axles to the knuckles By no means is this a simple installation. I like to think of myself as mechanically inclined, but this was a difficult installation. This isn't going to be a one-man show, as I had hoped. Bring a friend to assist you in getting the axle back into the diff while you reinstall the strut. It looks fantastic once it's been installed! Keep in mind that you'll need to have your alignment checked afterward. For the difficult installation, I gave it four stars. Aside from that, it's a good investment.

It's a good kit, but it's not for the faint of heart; if you're going to install these, do yourself a favor and replace the shocks as well
5/5

At 70k, mine was severely leaking. These aren't simple plug-ins; in fact, the entire front end must be dismantled. To get the shocks in and out, I had to remove axles. All new Bilsteins have been installed, and the car now looks and rides great. Have it done at a shop if you aren't at least a seasoned backyard mechanic.

It's a good price, but I'd go with number two
5/5

If you're going to buy them, go for the 2. After you've put on the 2", you'll need a 5". br>br>I used stock 265 55 r20s and couldn't tell the difference. Use the second option. 5 and you'll notice something, then add the oversize tires and you'll be pleased.

Jeep has a higher feel and appearance
5/5

I decided to get this level kit for my wife's 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee after purchasing the Falken off-road tires. br>br>I had it installed by a local Jeep dealer. Jeep has a fantastic appearance.

It was an excellent solution
5/5

My 2018 Jeep looks great now that it's been leveled. The front is now only a fraction of a millimeter away from the back. The instructions are straightforward, with the exception that the retainer of the ABS wire can be cut and replaced with a zip tie, which is not mentioned in the instructions. It's not necessary to take it off your knuckle. One thing that surprised me was that O'Rilley didn't sell any paper motor manuals; everything was available online.

Instructions are of no use
5/5

The results and quality of the product are excellent, but the installation instructions are a complete waste of time. The front axles must be removed in order to install these. Removing axles isn't much more work than installing spacers, but it's necessary. I'm hoping that rough country changes the instructions to include this step.
