Selected User Reviews For Pro Comp (62245) 2.5" Coil Level Lift
I recently purchased a 2017 F250 and had planned to install a different brand of leveling kit, but after speaking with a few people, I decided on the Pro Comp. 1 - It is covered by a lifetime warranty. 2 - a good name 3 - it is possible If I'm being honest, the availability was the main reason for purchasing it; the other option I was considering was on backorder for six months. 8 weeks. However, the Pro Comp kit has exceeded my expectations. br>br>The instructions are simple and straightforward. My personal preference for lifts is for them to be level with no rear end sag, which this kit provided. I think the price is fair for what you get; the parts are well-made and appear to last a long time; however, I will be adding a brake line relocation bracket to this kit, which it currently lacks. It's not too tight, but I'd feel more at ease if I gave it a little more wiggle room. This option is recommended by the other brand, and I believe there is a reason for that. I'll say this: Pro Comp's prices are incredible for nearly identical components - The leveling kit costs $180, and the track bar bracket costs $180, compared to $250 and $230 for the same parts. br>br>Here's something you can listen to or ignore, but when ordering the leveling kit, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Pro Comp track bar bracket 62687. The reason for this is as follows: I spoke with a number of people, ranging from local installers to friends to Pro Comp representatives, and they all said I only needed this leveling kit. WRONG. When you install the leveling kit, the front end shifts to the driver's side by about 3/4". The track bar bracket was not recommended by anyone. I inquired about the amount of change in their front end - They all stuttered and didn't respond, and I knew they hadn't looked at it closely enough or were just full of bs right there. That's because those are the guys who drive trucks with slightly off-center front ends and don't seem to mind. But I'm a stickler for detail, and for the price of this truck, I wanted it done right. br>br>A few days later, I received the track bar bracket, undid a couple bolts, installed the new bracket, and it bolted right in place (clearly, it was a little more involved than simply undoing a couple bolts, but it literally took me 30 minutes to put it back together). Lower the jacks, and guess what happens? My tires are positioned perfectly in the middle of the track. Some of you may argue that you do not require it, but I will always disagree. Before I put this bracket on, my daughter noticed that it was 3/4" off center. My truck drives in a straight line. Without the bracket, it tracked straight, but it was clearly out of whack. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product's quality, price, and ease of installation. I wish I had photographed the shift before installing the track bar bracket, but I'm not sure the photos would accurately depict the offset. I'm sure I'd have been sorry if I hadn't included it in the level.
All of the necessary hardware is included, as well as the shock brakets, large round plates to cover the coil, and stickers!.
Shipping was very quick. On my truck, it looks amazing. As stated in the advertisement. I ordered the incorrect one first, and swapping it out for the correct one was a breeze.
100% satisfied with the product.
I installed it on my 2010 Ford F-350 and it worked perfectly. This is an incredible product. It helped to level out the front and rear of my 2010 F350. The only difficult part is that you'll almost certainly need a lift and a jack to install it efficiently; I was fortunate enough to have access to both. If you don't have access to these, be aware of the amount of effort it will take.
This is an excellent product.
Installing is difficult for a novice, so I strongly advise doing it with two people. It can be completed in the driveway with basic tools and time. THIS INSTALL WILL KEEP YOU ALIVE WITH FOUR LARGE JACKSTANDS AND A GOOD FLOOR JACK.
I'd recommend getting the dual shock absorbers with it to avoid the "death wobble" after installation. I wish I had had the opportunity.
