Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use the right side on the left as well?

to the left Right is distinct because it is mounted in the opposite direction.

The product description claims that it fits my 2003 Lincoln Navigator, but Amazon claims otherwise at the top of the page. Which is correct?

Yes, this will fit a 2003 Navigator; however, you may have to flip the bracket over before installing it. Before installing it, match it up to the old one to verify that it will fit; if not, you can use the old bracket if it is not rusted or the new bracket if you flip it around.

Is this also effective on the back?

The Ford design uses the same sensor, but the bracket, angle, and arm length are all different. These can't really be swapped out because they have to fit into the factory-installed position. Because these are ride height sensors, they must be installed in a specific location in order to accurately measure ride height. In addition, Ford has released an updated version for the rear with a longer arm and a different angle, which allows the sensor arm to last longer by reducing the amount of pivoting required. The new version for the rear will be available soon from APDTY, but for the time being, we recommend the most recent Ford version.

I was a little hesitant because I'm an old school mechanic, and I've worked on the old chevys ex; but it's a great sensor for the 2006 Lincoln Navigator, driver side
5/5

The part has the same texture as 1971, but for a 2006 Lincoln navigator and this was a part from what supplier and name we worked on previously. I hate taking chances with other cars. However, William, machinist, mechanic, and antique car enthusiast, says that these sensors are fine to use.

Excellent value for money
4/5

Electrically, it, on the other hand, worked flawlessly. The bracket was not required for the 2005 Expedition, and no new bolts were available for my vehicle. The bolts in the bracket are serrated, and I didn't want to risk damaging them by removing them (I didn't want to risk having to return the unit). You'll need to supply your own bolts and lock nuts, which I did by removing the bolts from my old unit and pounding them into the new one. However, you're concerned that you'll harm the new unit as a result of this. I would probably just use new regular bolts and lock nuts if I had to do it again, as I have only had it in for one day. If it continues to work as well on the driver's side as it does now, I'll buy the right-hand one if it becomes necessary.

I didn't need the included bracket because this fits my 2005 Navigator perfectly
5/5

I didn't need the included bracket because the product arrived on time and in good condition. It fits my 2005 Navigator perfectly. The sensor's bracket was removed, and the studs from the old sensor were reused. It was very easy to replace and only took a couple of minutes. This was, without a doubt, mounted on the vehicle's left front. I drew the studs into place on the new sensor with the old nuts - I didn't have to use any force, like a hammer, to get the job done.

Great buy, and I'll buy more if they don't work out
5/5

I'm relieved that it was only my sensor, and that it was so simple to install. Even if you're not particularly handy with tools, give it a shot. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes once you've removed the wheel. It was the most difficult part. There isn't anything difficult about this.

The bracket for the mount is the wrong one
4/5

This side's different mount didn't work for me, but I was able to remove it and it still worked out.

You are the one who helps me to rise
5/5

This was a breeze once I went to HD for the bolts to install, and it worked where others didn't. My car does not resemble a drunk attempting to walk home after a few too many drinks. Also known as customer service, and the gentleman was extremely helpful.

For years, I've had issues with the air ride suspension on my Lincoln Navigator
5/5

For the past two years, I've had issues with the Lincoln Navigator air ride suspension. I took it to a few dealerships, had parts replaced, and still had the same issues. I ordered the parts and had them installed by a local mechanic. Much, much less expensive! It's been six months already.
