You need one for each shock in the rear. The Mazda 3 I had in 2006 was also equipped with these.
It is not an OEM part, but it replaces it
My understanding of the situation is unclear

A string of successive Mazda 3 model years has been plagued by broken rear shock mounts. After 85K miles on the right one, it just went at 100K on the left. You can fix them with a deep socket wrench set if you have some patience and a deep socket wrench set. You can find plenty of video tutorials on YouTube to help you. If I keep this car for another 100K miles, I suspect these will crack as well. Dormans are an exact replacement, less expensive than others, and they do the job just fine. This means that they do not rust. A constant up and down motion is causing the aluminum to break, and this is stress fractures from constant up and down motion. You should seek out a more durable, more expensive replacement if you want to make it last longer. As you can see, I took a risk with them. Everything seems to be going well so far.
Exactly the same as the original. There is no need to remove the wheel if servicing is performed on a lift with this mount. The upper mounting bolts should not be removed if corrosion is present, they will break easily (one broke on my first attempt). One can easily be replaced in the event of a break. i) Remove the cup holder from the last row seating area to expose the bolts on the upper mounting bracket. 3) Wrap tape around the head of the bolt. 2) Drive the broken bolt into the vehicle with an air hammer or hammer and punch. Tape will make sure that it doesn't disappear and rattle forever (this will keep it from disappearing). Use a suitable bolt and have someone hold it from the inside holding it in place as you tighten from the inside of the wheel well (DO.
First of all, it is not an exact match for the original part. It is especially thin and lacks the thick support webbing of the originals. I installed it, and within a week it broke, where the thinner webbing did not adequately support the stress on Since I reinstalled the original mount (I shouldn't have done so in the first place), the system is working fine.
Exactly what I was looking for! Simple to install*as expected, the part is very light and thin but all the parts are similar in construction. Would buy again.
No problem with this purchase. Perhaps the shocks could be included in a package deal.
This is the type of mounts I ordered as my 2010 Mazda 3 broke the upper mounts. It's been a day since I had it. The installation takes one hour, then the car is back on the road. Adapted from original lime.
The part arrived as stated and in perfect condition, and arrived in a very timely manner, very pleased with it.
I wasn't looking to replace this part, but was tracking down a rear end noise and wanted to eliminate this as a possible source of the problem. Many aftermarket parts are made in China. These too are made in China. Although I am unable to track down where Ford (Mazda) obtained the original components, they might have come from the same Chinese factories. As far as I can tell, these mounts don't appear to be any worse than the OEM mounts.
Around 120K, these things just tend to crack and break on the Mazda 3 and 5. There are 150K miles on the odometer. If you have the correct tools, it should be easy to fix them. I completed and tested my code in 60 minutes.
