Also included in the kit are the shock washer and nut.
It will fit a 1998 Ford Ranger with 2WD, but I'm not sure.
The Ford Ranger of 1998 Fits both sides to a T.
The Ranger I own is a 1999 model. It was easy to install the shockbolt provided by the manufacturer. Possibly you will need to take the mount to an auto parts store so they can find the right nut. My 18mm or 17mm was about the same size.

After taking sawsall to the factory due to stripped nut, it was sent back to the factory. It was nice to receive my Dorman mount With the help of my son, I installed this today - The following example is an example of in- Legal system. I ground down two factory rivets, got the bottom one from the inside, had to remove the back tire to get the grinder to the top two, and started getting into the The grinder was stopped. The process of drilling rivets out was basically how I got them It seems to me that drilling out those issues would be the best solution. Their main and biggest problem is that they are still not easy to handle. As for the Dorman Mount, it fit just like the factory one that came off and plugged into the hole. Set the tire and shock in place. I hope everything goes well! The problem has been resolved! It was a pleasure to receive my Dorman Mount and I was very pleased with the price, fitting, quality and delivery. It is a 1993 Ford Ranger XL 4 speed 5 speed short bed regular cab with 2WD. That's a good fit for you.
A friend of mine told me I had to install these " parts that couldn't be bought. ". I went for a quick drive with my 01 FORD ranger XLT 4x4 over the weekend. They not only installed quickly (after removing the stock mount, which took a lot longer than a few minutes to complete. It is recommended that hard metal drill bits be used to drill out existing mounting pins securing existing shock tower bases to frame of vehicle), but I am now once again able to do Smokey burnouts The product is excellent, and it will replace and fit both the driver and the passenger shock mounts on both sides of the vehicle.
The books only receive two stars because despite the fact that they seem to be of good quality, the amazon fitment guide claims they are compatible with my bronco ii, but they do not. These are not even close to being close together and I was disappointed for the first time with Amazon (especially after paying a return fee, I was not happy with that either).
Neither the provided top nut nor the provided nut that holds the shock to the post fit on this shock. The screw felt like it was the wrong size. My local Nut and Screw store was unable to supply me with It was suggested that the powder coating that was covering the thread was too thin. A die was run along the threads to scrape off the powder coat, and the nut was able to The powder coating would not come off with wire brushing. There is a die for 12mm, 1 in case you want to try that. The thread count is 75. You will need a 12mm nut with a diameter of The thread count is 75.
I am extremely pleased with it. I have no complaints about it. Works perfectly on Ford rangers. As for my other, I am just waiting for it to arrive. It's best to replace both sides at once, so if you are ordering one order two too.
My 98 Ranger XLT Super 4 was the perfect match for these. Just FYI if you are replacing 1 replace the other as well you will thank yourself later and for the price the piece of mind is worth it these are a nice heavy gauge steel and they came with a decent coat of black paint also arrived a day early thanks very much.
A 99 XLT 2 Ranger was installed with this harness. The number five. I replaced the rusted one with a new one. We haven't run into any issues with our new one and it is holding up well.
Ford Ranger 1999. I used these shock mounts to replace my badly rusted original shocks, and they worked like a charm. In terms of getting the old parts off, that's the hard part. Once installed, then they need to be torqued down for 5 minutes.
