Questions & Answers

Does this end come with a threaded extension or do you have to use a threaded extension?

I am supplying a threaded, complete assembly as seen in the A new one needs to be pressed into the old one after it is pressed out.

Is this model coming with its own nut?

The answer to that is no

How do I determine whether this fits a 2003 trailblazer LS?

A 2004 Trailblazer LS was compatible with this part.

You mentioned that you had to get rid of the old one, but what did you do?

On the farm, we have a shop press. I used it to replace the pedals. A little heat (not too much) and a ball joint press were needed for removal

A little bit similar, but very We received 2 separate deliveries from different suppliers, so it is obvious that these came from different suppliers

Boxes and part numbers are identical for Moog. The threads of one were loose and in a box with a black cap, while the threads of the other were sealed in a plastic bag without a cap. This should be done for both before they are installed, but especially if you receive the one in the plastic bag, DOUBLE CHECK THE TAPER DIAMETERS BEFORE INSTALLING. A slightly different taper was used. The nut I received still has a full engagement of threads, but the original and the second one I received have one thread that is exposed beyond the nut. *Yes, they can be changed while the truck is still on the road. It is best to use the Astro Goliath ball joint press and a good impact wrench to allow it to fit around the entire assembly. Additionally, if you have difficulties adjusting the Goliath, please consider using a small scissor jack or block to set things up. It worked well, but it is quite In the GT Nation forums, there is an excellent tutorial with pictures, that I modified by using the Goliath to pull out the old ones and put in the new ones using the Goliath. It is just the right size for pressing in a ball joint assembly with the 1 3/4 cup from a standard ball joint kit.

It was a great help

This feature is one Amazon has. Thank you so much. The part is only available for the Trailblazer, Envoy, etc. Anyone who is curious about its thread size should know that the M16x2 is used here.

I just installed this today
5/5

I am very pleased with it. It's the first time I've changed bushings of this style. The control arm will need to be installed with a press. It was a lot of work taking the old ones out. The product I received was of excellent quality.

A bushing for the Moog
5/5

You should only tighten the threads of this product to approximately 82 ft lbs of torque and then stop. If you tighten it too much, you will strip the threads.
