I need the dorman part # for the rear wheel house panel on the driver's side. The OEM number Incorporated as 7827887 ?

Amazon should be able to locate the Dorman part if it is sold if you put the OEM number in the search bar.

In some repair videos, it appears that a steel bracket is fastened to frame underneath in order to securely hold the shock. Can this be done without any other support?

The shock mount was not further supported by I did not add additional brackets to the panel. My repairs were done by drilling and 1/4 pop riveting the patch back into place. No issues or rattles have come up in the installation process. The shock is not designed to hold up the body or support its The movement is not stopped, it is just slowed down. As long as there are enough rivets, there will be no need for any other support. Too bad there are no photos.

So I drove my daughter's 2005 Ford Escape. It was making a lot of noise, so I drove it I was amazed at how loose the whole shock was. The software was installed after I ordered Using a combination of screws, glue, and welding, I created the piece. I also turned to YouTube for assistance. I am very satisfied with the way it has performed.

I don't know how my friend did it, but the end result is perfect! We used the whole piece, but it sounds like some people use parts made out of the whole.

I had the work done by a body shop. Body shop took 12 hours to do it right. They had to remove the entire wheel well and replace it with the Dorman product. I am very impressed with its structure, as well as how well it fits our 05 Tribute. I highly recommend it but not for those who do it themselves, unless they are familiar with welding.

There are no good things to say about this product. As it was so flexible it wouldn't hold anything in place so, not only did I pay for this part, but I was also required to pay extra for the mechanic to add stability pieces to preserve the integrity of this item. I was not happy with it at all.

I purchased this to fit my 2005 Ford Escape and the stamping was pretty accurate. It comes with rubber and washers that are different from the originals. There is no noticeable difference in quality between the metal and the You're doing a great job! I have gotten my truck on the road again.
