The top broke off during installation of the cheap plastic lid. The connector may have been hard to install because the connector is brittle, so that's why it broke. I don't know why it broke. It is however very thin at the outside of the sensor body. Having no time to buy another one, I had to order one locally. The one I ordered is much more durable and has a.

Better built than the OEM model (that broke when it came in

The design of this cable appears to be as good as the OEM cable (which came apart when unplugging it). The device has been in the vehicle for more than a month and is working flawlessly. There are no codes (no symbols).

The 2005 Honda Odyssey was not compatible with this product

I was unable to get it to work on a Honda Odyssey 2005. I only had to buy one sensor from three I bought that worked on the van, the Honda brand name knock sensor. This part looks just like the Honda part, but it is not identical.
