If your knock sensor harness needs to be replaced, you should. Also, make sure you purchase the AC Delco sensors or you will have to repeat the whole process. Also, don't forget to use the red silicone gasket sealing compound to make a horseshoe seal around the
To evaluate how reliable your harness is, you should check the connector connectivity with a meter. A "engine knock" is the primary problem that the harness and sensors address. It is only for that reason that they should be evaluated. Other than that, I do not understand why the sensor/harness is causing a problem.

Since I was replacing my oil pressure sensor, I switched over the knock sensors while I was there, and this harness proves to be exceptional. I'm not concerned that water will leak under my knock sensors, and I did not seal them with RTV. As long as you are not using the foam pads under your intake manifold (which you should do, since that's what they are for), there is no reason to remove them from all surfaces. After many miles and putting a lot of mileage on it, it's perfect, no issues and it fits perfect. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
There are 3 z71 Tahoes and they work well. As you know, installing these is not going to be easy. They are just like OEM quality, so when you buy this set, you won't be disappointed. As a matter of fact, I didn't even need gasket sealer since the rubber pushed down so well. Although I did purchase the ac delco knock sensors, they were more expensive. of course you can't go cheap when it comes to these items. It is best to do this task just once. Then you need to read this. Using my 2001 5 as a base, I installed them. By the way, I have three Z71 Tahoes.
My favorite part of the installation was the way the connectors fit snugly on The green wire knock sensor connector was too near the firewall side green wire, so there was too much tape wound near it. They made the connectors too close to each other. Plugging both in at once was not possible out of the box since I could only plug in 1 or the other. I did not find it super difficult to cut back some of that tape, but pulling out the razor blade on a new harness is not a pleasant feeling. There are no solid items other than that. I don't think my issue has returned yet but I did not put too many miles on it.
Replacing knock sensors is not difficult, but it is tedious. Hence, I wanted quality at a good price so the task would not have to be repeated. It was supplied with parts that met both criteria.
In comparison to a new GM wire harness, the rubber grommets on the aftermarket connector appeared to be a little softer (which is not a bad thing). The connectors appeared to be identical and had the same amount of flex as the GM wire In fact, I'd buy them again if I had the opportunity.
One of the sensors in my vehicle failed, causing the check engine light to illuminate. Now that the sensors and wiring harness have been changed, the car runs much better, but the light comes back on and now gives codes for both sensors. The harness appears to be of poor quality.
That's all well and good The device has been installed for about two weeks now, and it is causing faulty code readings (low For replacement purposes, it may be rather time-consuming to get back to it. The cost of labor for six hours is not cheap, not to mention the rework When you purchase a part, look for the original equipment manufacturer's part. have tried to go the cheaper route, but it does not work AC Delco parts were used to replace both knock sensors at the same time.
This is a Silverado truck with the 8L engine I installed this wiring in a 2002 Silverado 4. The middle wire is about an inch too short. A V8 engine with 8 liters. There are wonderful qualities to this product, but the wire that connects the front knock sensor to the rear one is extremely short. I recommend that it be at least one inch longer so it can be slack and not tense.
