That's not the case, according to me. For me it is circa mid-95, but apparently it covers the first 1/2 of the year 95 and onward.
You should be told to keep it but get a refund from the company if you contact them. In the past, I have found this to be the case.

Fits neither a 1998 Dodge Dakota, 3 nor a 1999 Dodge Dakota, 4 It has a 9-liter, 4-wheel drive engine. Don't order if you're not prepared. I feel like it was a waste.
No issues with the 98 Dakota 2. This is a 5-liter bottle. My 98 2 fits well right out of the box, so far so good. This is a 5L Dakota. I have installed and cleared the code and the problem remains the same.
