It is a great product, but if you have a rich fuel feed then it could pose a problem. The vehicle can idle fast, not idle down, even when you let off the gas, and it idles at 1500 to 2000 rpms while it is moving even without your foot using This sensor sits behind the air breather and intake between the mass air flow sensor and the air breather. This faulty sensor tells the onboard computer that the air is too cold, which comes with the consequence of the motor feeding more fuel to compensate for the motor warming up, but since the sensor input is inaccurate, the motor (computer-wise) doesn't warm up due to If you're experiencing this issue, make sure you purchase both coolant sensors as well as the thermostat sensor otherwise you might have a cooling issue. Saves a lot of gas and is a cheap fix.
This part has just been replaced today, Thursday, May 9. In the past, the engine service light has intermittently been on the scan tool was used to turn it off until this sensor arrived. I now have a 2001 Buick Park Avenue in my possession. experienced rising coolant temperatures despite doing a lot to control the issue. It is a cool temperature. In the beginning, the temperatures rose from 185 degrees to 210 degrees, but cooling fans restored them to 185 degrees. This upgrade has made the engine run faster as it had a slight miss before. The work I have done previously includes Intake gaskets for upper and lower intake (the lower intake gasket has just started leaking due to one cylinder being compromised), water pump, and a Dorman steel coolant hose. Although the engine temperature did not rise over a certain point, something was amiss. My service light is off, so I do not know whether this sensor has anything to do with the unstable coolant temps, but so far it seems to have made a difference. Choosing better performance at a low price is a good investment.
It was very easy to replace, nearly anyone could do it, but I was nervous when I opened it up, it was much smaller than my old ACTS but it fits in the same place inside my intake because the necks are the same. It was also very quick to get here, so there is no complaint.
I ordered on June 11, 2018 and it arrived the next day. Made from the same material as OEM parts and of the same quality. It takes about a minute for the snake to move I had to replace my coolant temperature sensor, a new upper radiator hose and thermostat, as well as the rubber gasket and o ring in the thermostat. Thought it wouldn't hurt to take a look, and the reviews here will be helpful in making a My 1998 Buick LeSabre Custom was easy to install.
I have had it for about 30,000 miles and it still works perfectly.
It works great.
