When installed in the radiator hose assembly, it does not turn on and does not get hot enough. When installed in the radiator Hose assembly, it does not turn on and never gets hot enough. br>br> br>Installed in a radiator hose inlet inline. However, if the unit does not get hot enough, try switching to a cooler temperature sensor. br>According to the OBDii reading, the engine temperature had to reach 215 degrees Fahrenheit before the fan was activated. If installed in the head or radiator, it would most likely work. I'm going to try a 170 degree temperature sensor. br>I used a heat gun to test it, and the unit turned on the fan after that. As a result, the upper radiator hose will not heat up sufficiently.
The 1/8npt's smaller profile was exactly what I was looking for, and it arrived with the proper temperature calibration for my application.
