No, Jovan, this battery temperature sensor is only designed to work with Xantrex invertor chargers.

Is freedom 458 compatible with this?

What is the procedure for putting it in place?

Good day, Joseph J. Simply attach the temperature sensor's tab to one of the battery lugs. I usually use the negative lug because it has a lower chance of corroding. The other end should be plugged into the corresponding receptacle on the invertor or charge controller.

The one I have (part 809-1) is the one I have. The length of 0946 is 25 feet.
