My 2003 Silverado 1500HD has a drop-in replacement. Despite the fact that this sensor failed multimeter testing because the resistance jumped around during pedal movement, it was unable to resolve my ongoing "Reduced Engine Power" issues. I had a feeling the cheapest of the three possible parts wouldn't fix it, but I was hopeful. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative Torx Security bolts were used to secure this sensor on my vehicle. These resemble hex head bolts (Torx is more of a star pattern), but the security version has a small post that prevents a standard Torx bit from being inserted. When I couldn't find my Torx Security bits, I was able to drill out the post and remove the screws. (For clarity, I've attached some sample images). Before beginning this repair, double-check to see if your vehicle has any similar screws.
This part was ordered to assist in the diagnosis of a communication issue between the accelerator and throttle body. This part was easy to install and did exactly what it was supposed to do.
It's installed on the driver's side of the firewall, and Amazon has done it again. Thanks!.
When we arrived, the sensor had died. I'm returning this and ordering a different brand after wasting a lot of time troubleshooting it.
It accomplishes the task. Installing the foot pedal should take no more than 15 minutes.
My 2003 Chevy Avalanche was exactly as described, and it fit perfectly.
I installed it on my 2003 GMC and had the same problem. I discovered that the problem was caused by a loose ground at the back of the heads on the engine, which I cleaned and retorqued, and I have had no other issues since.
The product was excellent and solved my issue.
