This is a unit that can be used anywhere in the world. It can be used for almost anything.
When the vehicle is turned on, go to accessories 12 volt constants and double-check that the voltage is 12 volts using a volt meter.

I'm 60 and crawling over the seat to roll down the window on my 2004 F150 Haritage PU (aka 2003) is no longer an option. So I've got a similar kit in my 67 Chevy PU that's been running for 17 years and is still going strong. I gave it a shot; the price might put some people off, but it didn't deter me. This kit is very good, and as many have said, the instructions are worthless, which is TRUE. It took me around 6 hours to complete, mostly because I am a perfectionist; however, this is a very good kit and, as many have said, the instructions are worthless, which is TRUE. However, the illustrated instructions will be of assistance. Wiring is simple because you simply run them under the dash and out the doors. I had wire boots, but you can get them almost anywhere, including a wrecking yard. Amazon has a 15 amp circuit fuse tap adapter. This makes it very simple to locate the circuit that has been keyed on. I put the lighted switches in place of the crank holes, and the black color goes well with my door handles and steering wheel. When I was finished, I measured the amp draw on them, and both of them only draw 12 amps when they are going up, so the 30 amp fuse is a little overkill for a two-window kit. I'll say that for the price, this is a very good quality kit; I made a video to show you how they work; they're just as quiet as my Honda.
Your car is the most important factor in the product's effectiveness. If you're replacing a manual hand crank with it, it was designed to require a certain amount of manual force that a small electric motor can't accurately replicate. This kit will most likely work for you if your window glides up and down in the channels with minimal effort by hand. If rolling down your window by hand is difficult, this is probably not the best option.
A friend recommended these to me after I had been dealing with crank windows for over a year. They're a night and day difference, and I'm not sure how I survived so long without them. They looked great with the new panels, and with some custom wiring, I was able to connect them to a set of OEM switches. They outperform the stock window motors in my father's Sliverado from the same year. They've been in my possession for a few months and are still going strong! I was blown away by the quality of the product.
I was very pleased with the wiring harness and lighted window switches that were included in the package. They were a perfect fit in my 1997 Cadillac Cavalier. I'm a little disappointed that the passenger window is extremely slow, despite the fact that I greased all of the internals. The driver window, on the other hand, operates at a normal speed. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be or if I got a bad window motor, but both windows were easy to roll down by hand. Aside from that minor flaw, I would recommend this kit.
The first installment: The movement of the windows was relatively smooth and quiet. I was overjoyed, and I eagerly anticipated sunny days so I could roll down the windows. Instead of using air conditioning, we used the windows on a regular basis to keep them in good condition. The first issue is: br>br> The drivers side window would not go up after I rolled it down after 3 months of use. A quick teardown revealed a broken tooth in a plastic gear connected to the motor. The second issue is this: br>br> I had about 8 months of use on the driver's side after purchasing this product again before it seized. The free-turning gear connecting to the window crank gear had seized up for some reason. I had a spare passenger-side motor/gear/spine, which I swapped in. We'll see how long it takes before I have another failure to report. This is an excellent purchase. Installing these will take some time (depending on your vehicle). You may need to use a pair of tin snips to modify the sheet metal behind your inside door panel. Use no less than 12 gauge stranded wire, and keep the units in a straight line (less drag and strain on the motor). I put it on a 2016 Nissan Frontier 2 months ago - it's great, especially for the price. Everything appears to be fine.
Older cars with a heavy crank mechanism, however, require stronger motors. Even after cleaning and applying new silicone grease, it took more than 3 lbs to open and close my doors.
In a 2000 Chevy Express cargo van, I installed these. From start to finish, it took one man 6 1/2 hours to get the truck ready for the road. br>I was able to complete the entire process with only the parts provided in the kit and no additional materials. They work well and are well worth the time and money spent in exchange for the convenience they provide. The passenger side is a little slower than the driver's side in terms of acceleration. down a little, but only a little. It's also a lot more convenient than cranking by hand!.
