A computer printed packing list was the only item included in the box. There is a "Made in China" tag on the outside of the box. There is NO paper or installation instructions inside. According to my understanding, Bosch motors have to be stamped with their identification number. None of the parts have any indicator of who manufactured them or any part number of any kind, even an Autoloc number. It was very poorly packaged in that there was nothing included to keep the pieces from smashing into each other inside. It was evident that one of the rails poked out of one end of the box. We will have to wait and see if these perform as advertised. There is a possibility that I will return.
It is necessary to have some fabrication skills in order to mount them properly, since these are universal. I was able to retrofit them to my 1993 Freightliner FL70 with a little bit of work. Due to the thin door frames on the freightliner, the units have a very low profile and are very thin. It was a great experience and I will use this service for future projects. Thank you so much.
removed the plastic every time I turned the winding mechanism and this kit has the original one. Kit uses an adapter to fit the window bottom channel (or window bottom channel) and does not need plastic parts or springs. It's easy to set up and seems pretty beefy in its design.
With AutoLoc Power Window 9848, I replaced an old power window unit that was similar. Since it was a replacement, the installation was pretty easy since it was typical for a hot rod. It worked fine for 2 months and now the motor no longer works. My first step was to directly power the motor to isolate the issue. Powering the motor in the up and down positions just results in a clicking sound.
