My rear trunk lid slammed because the discount tire slammed it during installation. I warned them not to slam before it went in! Draws down on its own! As soon as the pull down switch fell, it To get the new pulldown switch to work properly, I had to reuse old parts from old switches, per instructions, and adjust them 3 times to make the new switch work. It is a little greasy part to deal with, but it works! This is a 1999 Cadillac Those who are mechanically inclined might like to try this.
My guess would be no. Check the Rockauto website. I found it fitting my 1992 Cadillac, a GM product. You may want to visit com before you purchase. A good cross-section of parts can be found there You can refer to that
In regards to the plastic shown, yes, it came with it. It will be necessary to reassemble the motor by using the latch from the old one. I used to have this issue, but it stopped working about a month ago. As a result, I now just unplugged and closed my car like someone driving a Cavalier.
Is a "miggy" what it sounds like?

My hatch pulldown on my 1987 Camaro Sport was fixed with this kit and it worked like a charm. A new gear nut has been included with this motor as well, which is a nice upgrade compared to buying one separately, which is around $10. In comparison to the standard GM thermoplastic motor housing, some care is required by the installer to get the close and lift cycles right so that excess strain is not put on the mounts, but other that, this kit is very affordable for all of us who own classic GM cars.
It goes in the top of the trunk lid opens with my remote control, or with my key then, I pull down the trunk and the motor attaches to the car and closes it automatically. I installed this one the same way I did my other one when the car was brand new. I find it to be very useful. I appreciate your support.
For someone like me who is a beginner, it was easy to use. I would advise you not to try screwing the latch all the way down since that will cause it to separate. As soon as I adjusted the assembly, it was a matter of tightening a few bolts, reattaching the assembly to the trunk with three more bolts, installing the wires, and closing my 97 Cadillac Seville trunk tight as a witches hat.
I have now been able to use my trunk motor again because everything fit perfectly. A little experience is required, and no instructions are provided for this job. My job is a mechanic so I had no problem finishing the whole thing in about an hour. There seems to be some cheap and brittle plastic in the case. Therefore, you will need to be extremely careful when installing everything. I recommend putting some grease in the kit since it doesn't come with any.
I was satisfied with the quality of the unit and the installation went smoothly. A guide would be useful on how to do things right and how to move forward with it. This should be explained the units limit switch needs a small tab that needs to be placed in it. If you don't know, you will have to take it in and out a few times to determine what it is.
In the parts' favor, it seems to be made from a superior plastic than the original on the floppy disc, so it wouldn't have had any other issues than As soon as the motor stopped working, the hatch slid halfway down. During the time it took me to open the hatch and remove the cover far enough to unplug the unit, the motor got so hot I almost burned myself. While I did work around a few areas that were tight before installing, I am not sure it has anything to do with poor fitting parts. I think it would have been good if it hadn't been for these things.
If you need the gear, this is the one you want. Installed in a few minutes, great fit on the lid of my caddy.
There needs to be a trunk closure for "rain"! This is a re-used pull down actuator and the motor has been replaced, so be aware there are two actual parts that can fail. As far as the position of the "switch" that pulls down the lid, I tried a few different setups. Don't give up on the motor it works fine! I had to take out screws about four times just to get it set up right! Take the plastic housing out before tightening it down! We sell the same motor as other stores, but at a very reasonable price! Once again, 5 stars to Amazon.
